Nice jewelry finds. I think us avid yard salers know how many sales one can hit before finding anything. Somedays you come home with a car full other days nothing. i always find that the best sales are at the beginning of the season and by the end its a lot of crap. lol TFS!

Oh yes, we don't really hang flowers, we have fower boxes that we plant them in - but they ARE nice and once we do up the backyard (it needs work) we may get something like that to hang in the back. :) You're right though, they're nice!

@@darstill2195 it's still more likely I'd notice someone taking something off my neck (especially since I'm in a wheelchair and people aren't commonly in my personal space in a way they could nonchalantly just reach for my neck) than someone reaching into my backpack. As well, no. I don't think they'd sooner go for my neck, because the people who would steal pretty antique jewellery that may or may not be worth anything (jewellery generally has a terrible resale price when initially purchased as new) versus a backback that had they been paying attention to my family, has no less than one tablet and one phone in it at most times. That's not a terrible argument, however.

You're TOTALLY correct!! The brooch, we found out afterwards, is a Scottish Thistle pin, and they are rare and only made in Scotland, and the value on that pin was actually around $50!!! I couldn't believe it... did not know that at the time of completing this video....

Nice jewelry! My two favorite pieces... the Scottish Thistle Brooch, the pin attachment is an older UK style. It looks similar to some "British made" pins I have on some military items. So maybe from 1945 or before.. it's most likely made in Scotland. Also the Kilt Pin is cool. That's W.W.I Period. Great video.

Do you guys ever worry about ghosts that might be attached to items you’ve purchased? I had it happen with a pair of antique children’s shoes and a picture of the child. I later learned she had died after an old farm truck backed over her. Donated the items to thrift store👩🏻‍🦰

I have often wondered about that, but honestly we have never, not even once, had anything weird or strange happen after bringing an old object home. With all the old stuff we've packed into our house, there are no strange noises or creaks... We *DO* however sage the house every spring and fall, so maybe that keeps them away.

After that incident I did have a Priest come and bless the house and sprinkle holy water in each and every space in the house and a friend of mine did sage the house. I believe the house was actually haunted before I brought the items home. Needless to say we bought a brand new home and I haven’t had a problem since, but I’m very careful about what comes into the house.

I find sage seems to work well. Sage the house twice a year, and it should keep anything bad away. We just don't worry about it at all, as we sage the house twice per year. We have brought COUNTLESS old objects into our house over a period of 15 years (only been recording for KZbin for 3 years now) and have never had an issue, but I think the sage is what keeps the house free of evil spirits.
