You probably know this already, but I've seen folk use battered old 'Harris Fencing' panels as a cheap / free way to get steel reinforcement into their concrete slabs. Cut the thinner mesh grid out of the fence panel to the size square you need with a grinder and youre away. Plus you dont need to tie it together unless your're using more than one Harris Fence panel in a larger slab.

Not a bad idea, in the past ive used chicken wire but was always dubious if it would simplty corrode. Your idea seems stronger all right!

Well done on getting the base finished, always takes longer and more work involved, can't imagine what u would've looked like if Claire didn't give u a lift 😂, u looked rough at the end, love watching this series, take care 👍

I'd love to say things got better since then, but we have had a load more mistakes and troubles since then... we've stuck thru them all and while it may take us time to recover, we've never regretted it :) Thanks for your comment, hope you are enjoying the fab weather in Clare, beautiful place!

@@WestCorkWander renovating an old home is never easy , once the foundations and bones are solid the rest will come in time , you’ve all done a fabulous job clearing and demolishing already , all that hard work will be worth it in the end 😊
