I bought my first Lone Wolf Alpha back in the day (along with a set of sticks). So long ago I can't remember the year...90's somewhere. Anyway, I bought another a couple years later. The reason for two for mobile hunting? In case I want to set one up (mostly for an am hunt) and wait for perfect conditions. The other I hang & hunt & rarely sit the same tree. Also, theft is a big concern. A stand can't be stolen if it isn't there. Still, these stands require little maintenance, I just go over all the bolts to make sure nothing is loose (sticks loosen more than stands). I finally replaced the cables on both stands 2 years ago. Still using original straps & they are solid.

Would love an episode on finding and reading sign. Like where to start looking giving different types of terrain. Also, once the sign is found then maybe explain what it means or what it's telling me and how to move on it. Kinda hard to explain this way, but hopefully you can kinda get what I'm asking..

We have two cameras that are just for fun. The farm we hunt is a great transition area. A lot of does and young bucks. We do see some 125 to 150 bucks, but they are just passing through. The farmer plant’s rotating corn and beans. It’s mostly field and wood edges. Langlade Co has some huge deer. Have hunted it most of my life.

I hunt in Kentucky. Hill and hollows top ag bottom ag. The wind is never constant. It swirls every day. So the topic I want to hear is how do you hunt wind that is not predictable?

Man o man glad to see the old man talking out Lol. I’m gonna like this, Cody glad you got him out and talking 🤙 I’m 45 and been bowhunting since 90, I think of the Ol Wolf as a sort of myth down this far south but remember him and the stands that far back. Glad he is out talking so I can hear him, trust me I wanna listen too. You northern gentleman probably listened to him at shows but I never had that opportunity. I’m taking notes Though. I love it guys keep it coming -Christopher

Great podcast, thanks for sharing information and great stories. Was wanting to know how you guys go about moving in on a buck once you found his bed. I know you generally set up once you find it but how do you go about hunting him while paying attention to wind and thermals? I live In hilly country and feel like if I moved in early in the morning he would bust me scent checking his bed. Thanks!

Andrew Smith if you know he's going to bed there hunt the evening. if you're not sure don't chance it that's my thoughts if he bust you it's over.

A couple little gems like that licking branch that gets over looked cuz its not all pawed up. And when he gets out of his bed thats likely the first spot hes gonna go. You guys still have the interview dan did that got taken down?

I’d love to know their setup. Broadhead’s, arrow weight, FOC, etc. Also, what is their average shot distance, and thoughts on pass threws, versus non pass threw shots and finding hit deer. Just curious.
