Ep3 Panelbeating A Used 4x4 Rental Hilux

This has been a challenging couple of weeks! Watching my vehicle getting stripped down to the chassis, poked and prodded with metal rods, bashed with hammers, sprayed with hot rubber, sanded, painted, insulated! It's been a massive task to get this basic rental Toyota Hilux turned into something special. Hi Overlander 🛺🚙🚌🚐, love your videos. hope you doing well with your bigger Jimny. would you consider giving advice what brand and what model can we replace IV gen Jimny stock shocks with exactly same shock height but only beefier thick shock and coil. It is advisable to replace the stock spring with a similar height spring but thicker radius at the same time replace the stock shock with same height of shock but beefier and thicker shocks like monroes. if ever you will buy which one you would prefer to upgrade the jimny shocks but retaining the original height of the vehicle since i just wanted to strengthen the suspension but not lift. i also plan to change the tires to smooth road tire . TQ

Awe Adrian Will you be doing a heavy duty scratch resistant wrap? I recently had my Cruiser resprayed and regret not having wrapped it in a wrap of the sort, will do that to all my offroad vehicles in the future. I am really interested in the "Raptor" wrapping.

It is removable. But definitely more effort than a traditional wrap, so would assume it could become more expensive quite quickly

What is your toughts on chosing a peelable paint instead of a "real" one, since you already payed for almost all the job involved in a "real" paint? I saw that you got your bed line with something that looks like raptor liner, don't you need to put a paint on it before you put the rubber paint on, since it can still rust through the liner? I see tons of rattles and broken clips. They are NEVER put back the same. Even when a manufacturer sent my new vehicle back to assembly for a rear bumper scratch, clip holding the wires was not on properly and a small section of wires were loose. Dust covers etc... Just me but I would end up stripping and reassembling.

The paintless dent removal was very reasonably priced considering what he did! I dont want to give actual prices, because its not completely sponsored but I am getting very good rates. It is certainly coming out of my pocket, and is not a cheap procedure to go the whole hog like I am doing. Once I have more clarity on the figures this week, I can give some more info about it, but I am going to be pretty broke after this xD
