My sled has more edge miles than on its flat, it's my most fav thing to do, I seek out that kind of terrain, anyone can go straight up.
@RideRasmussenStyle4 жыл бұрын
I totally seek it out. Step technical terrain. I bet you can't follow me!

Great explanation professor as you guys know we don’t get very deep snow in Australia and riding on edge is a little harder but these tips really help us out 🙏👌🏼

I have a Lynx commander and have watched all of the back to skool videos. Should I use the same techniques regarding rider position, counter-steering, edging, sidehilling etc on my lynx commander as these videos show or will my type of snowmobile require a different driving style?
@RideRasmussenStyle2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for asking...the very same techniques apply, however the Commander is much heavier, less agile and takes a lot more rider input than it would take with a normal mountain sled. Have fun with that!!

great video! any tips for how to recover from washout like featured in these videos?

Haven't done anything for washout. Might have to give that done thought.

Great video Bret! What tips would you give to someone who's riding a 600?
@RideRasmussenStyle4 жыл бұрын
First to would be to get an 850! But seriously the technique doesn't change for lower HP sleds. It's just the same. Seat time is your best tool for improving your skill set.

I find the side hilling during some 30 - 60 km/ hr speed the hardest (usually travelling from one area to another), when its a slightly hilly and the sled creeps away from the hill, but not that steep, that is when I find being on edge very hard, any recommendations? Riding Freeride 2019 154".

That's to fast for control. Slow it down a notch!

Riding a 175” and i am having issues with it not tracking across a sidehill, its consistently trying to turn up the hill...i know i’m missing like the one key thing. Im pos3 with my foot infront of the brake rotor and counter steered to the stop...if i panel it out anymore she digs the spindle in. It just wants to climb. If you make it to AK sign me up! Ty!

Try a post forward kit. www.riderasmussenstyle.com/shop/skinz-rasmussen-steering-post-relocate-kit/

My 175 did the same thing. I switched to a 165, problem solved. Both sleds had the post forward kit.
@SolidStateH2O4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Chad, i have a buddy with an SP 165 and we are going to play back and forth! 175 is quickly becoming a laser focused, easy mode, have to work at it machine...165 is rowdy fun comparably.
