Thank you Raquel!!! 😊 It certainly helps that we are also best friends, not just a couple. 😄

Some schools still use that binding machine. I used one many times, so there are a few of us in Regina who know how to use them.

You need to buy some magnifier glasses or a loop. They will help you see signature much easier on jewelry and art.
@lindap.p.13373 жыл бұрын
At one time I carried a magnifying glass and a magnet. They probably need those in the truck to go with their light.
@itasa10093 жыл бұрын
I know you can buy jeweller magnifying loops on eBay. They come in all kinds of styles.. don’t buy the small microscope/light they are too small. Flat are better. Good to keep in the pocket or leave in the vehicle. We also have headlamps & baseball caps with a light. We got those from a sporting goods/camping store. I think they are at the discount store as well. I enjoy watching you. I wish I could get someone to look in a bin here.🙂

I would certainly have been overwhelmed by everything to look at. Wow! Wow! Wow! I probably would've left the sale with nothing, as I don't care for big crowds these days.

True fact - my uncle owned the publishing company that printed and bound the law books - Canada Lawbook was the company. At Christmas he would bind my brothers National Geographic's - looked amazing. I have been wanting to find a book binding machine at a garage sale forever - how much did they want for it?
@michelewright90903 жыл бұрын
Retired teacher here. We used the “book binding” machines all the time. It took me 1/2 the year to go in the right direction to bind pages without them “unbinding”, lol! Directionally challenged…🤣🤣

@BargainBarons3 жыл бұрын
Karen likes to be prepared for anything so here is a list of the items in her bag: wallet, safety pins, bandaids, uv lights, magnet, jeweler's loop, chapstick, kleenex, hand sanitizer, masks, a portable set of screwdrivers, pliers, tape measure, business cards, change purse, pocket knife, keys, hair ties, travel size body spray (for those hot stinky days lol) and probably a few other things I'm forgetting.

@itasa10093 жыл бұрын
You should have held on to the Asian piece in the frame. My daughter thinks it may have been white jade. Expensive, she lived in Hong Kong. The glass piece you found outside was a friendship knot. Over $75. Whenever you see native art buy it it’s worth buying & selling it..

Why have things at a sale that aren't for sale? I often wonder that. It's like temptation and teasing all at the same time or as you said, "You're keeping all the good stuff."

LOL....it's time for reading glasses now, Rob. Get the 3 or 3.5 times magnification to read tiny marks. That's what I used to do when I wore contacts. Now I just look over the top of my glasses....as I'm so near sighted. : )
