I lifted my head to the rafters, wanting to just fall down dead from the shame. The alcohol fumes surrounding Ye Hua gave me spell after spell of dizziness, and he held me so tightly that it made all my regret disappear. All I felt was a brilliant peach blossom haze as if my soul had left my body. My soul might actually have left my body, because I followed up with more audacious words. “It’s rather indecent to just do this in the doorway. Shall we just move to the bed?” I cast a spell and changed my body back into its female form . . .”

When she was mortal and married to this guy, evil girl framed her for ruining her eyesight in an accident. She was punished to donate her eyes to evil girl. This guy had to carry out the punishment. When she died and came back to life as her old immortal self, she had her memory wiped. So she can’t remember any of the bad stuff that happened when she was a mortal.

​@marthapetty1008 He really didn't have a choice. The original sentence was loose her eyes and death. He negotiated it down to loose her eyes, and 3 years of lightening torture. He chose to c take her eyes himself because he didn't trust anyone else to do it without being cruel. Then he chose to undergo the lightening torment for her that lasted I think 3 years or something so she wouldn't be forced to endure that as well. He knew she was innocent but he couldn't prove it. It sucked for her without question but he was doing what he could to protect her from his grandfather.
