Glad that didn’t have a bad ending! I’m going to have to check this place out when the weather gets warmer. I’ve only camped in the summer; need to get a heater like yours 👍

Thanks for watching 😁 winter camping here is great. Campsite is cheaper during winter, less people, and no bugs.

That could have turned out way worse, hot coals in a tent, well we all live and learn , I would only use propane or gas inside the tent .All this time I have eaten marshmallows the wrong way, next time I will eat them like y’all do. I was going to go for a hike in town to a wooded area and pitch a tarp and have some coffee and watch it snow but it turned out to be freezing rain instead , maybe next time. Are y’all using a projector to watch movies with? Seems to work pretty well. Yea man I was hoping to see that new hatchet or just get you a large knife to split the wood by batoning it , mora garberg is a great knife ....well cool video and nice camp as always , see yea on the next one

Yea it's something that we will never try again and we're thankful that it didn't turn out worse. We're using a projector called Apeman M4 Mini, which we picked up from Amazon for around 216 Canadian dollars last Christmas. The picture and sound quality is more than enough for camping. New hatchet video will be soon. It won't be next video, but probably the one after that. I hope you have better luck with the weather next time! Marshmallows taste really good this way since you can peel off 2-3 times before moving to the next one. Thanks for watching :) Have a good one

P.S. that axe/hatchet you have is no good for splitting wood you need one that goes wider behind the blade so when it goes into the wood it splits the wood apart and ittle have more weight to so it will go in way deeper and splitting will be way easier.

Thanks for the support 😁😁 I really appreciate it! Yes we are located in BC and this is our favourite winter camping site. Ohh the cabin tent eh? Great choice and I’m sure you’ll be very satisfied with it. My advice is to buy directly from Kodiak website. Other websites have it for cheaper price but they don’t cover duties and taxes. Since Kodiak covers them, it was actually cheaper to order it directly from Kodiak. Thanks again for kind words 🙂

OMG, .. you are so lucky to have such a beautiful campground, and although rain, you're not -25C like so many of were the days you were camping. *Now just think you managed to save the tent. About the 'hatchet' as I "hinted" last time about it I am really looking forward to your next video. Speaking of videos they are great and so are your dinners. Looking for more... Yea I consider myself very lucky every time I come here. Haha hatchet video won't be the next one (I still have one or two more videos to edit). I can tell you which one I ended up buying though, which is Husqvarna 13" Hatchet. It was splitting wood so much easier and felt very satisfying. As always thanks for the support. :) hope you have a great weekend.

Thank you for the support :) Wow it's cool to have a visitor from Japan! I've been ordering a lot of Japanese camping items from Soto, Uniflame, and Snow peak. More recently, I ordered the new Coleman Teepee 325 which was only available in Japan. It's expected to arrive in late March and I can't wait to use it. My wife and I love Japan (we visited 2 times in the past 3 years). Anyways thanks again for watching. I subbed to your channel

@campbobear 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Michael, glad you enjoyed the videos 😄We have mixed opinion about the Naturehike cots. One of them broke after using it maybe 5-6 times but the other one is still going strong. If you look at the amazon reviews, you'll see that it has mixed reviews. I think quality control is definitely an issue. I'd recommend it only if you can get it from somewhere with good return policy such as Amazon. 👍

I watched all your camping vlog and I really like them. I live in Vancouver so I will follow your steps to all the places you camped. Your camping tools are so so nice (and I know they are pretty high end)! Where did you buy them? and any suggestion where to buy a good and big foot prints for the tent?
@campbobear
@campbobear 3 жыл бұрын
Hey Sean thanks for the kind words 😊I get most of my gears (the ones that are not available in Canada) from Amazon Japan. I don't speak Japanese but the site is very easy to navigate and they have a wide selection of car camping gears that's not available here. You don't need Amazon Prime and shipping + duties are automatically calculated during checkout. If the duties end up being less than the estimate, you get a refund few weeks later. If it ends up being more, Amazon Jp covers the rest. The price of the gears fluctuate a lot so I usually wait and monitor the price using Keepa extension in Chrome. Some items I get from MEC, Amazon Canada, Canadian Tires, Varuste, Altitude-sports, Aliexpress, etc. If you have any specific gears in mind, I can look up where I got it from. As for the big foot print for the tent, you can get a big one from Amazon.ca (www.amazon.ca/dp/B0748FG2Z6/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_dp_P15CJ465Z0WT2J1E89F6?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1) or medium sized blue one from Dollar Store. Make sure to book the camping sites early since it's looking to be a busy year! Porteau Cove is my favorite camping spot but it's fully booked for 2 months 😭 Thanks again for watching and stay safe.

@@campbobear Thank you for your recommendations. Actually today I bought two super big footprints in Costco for $20, can u imagine. About porteau cove, do you have any specfic camp site number to recommend?
@campbobear
@campbobear 3 жыл бұрын
@@seancen2121 Nice! That's a good deal 😁 When you book, you can see the size of the campsite. I would say stick to medium/large and avoid small if you can. All waterview sites have GREAT views but our favorite is site #37. It's large and more private than the other ones. The only bad part is the distance to the bathroom but still I would recommend #37.
@seancen2121
@seancen2121 3 жыл бұрын
@@campbobear Oh I checked the #37 on the website and it really looks the best. However, like you said it's super busy. If possible, we would love to join you guys for camping, an invitation from a newbie camper couple haha.
@campbobear
@campbobear 3 жыл бұрын
@@seancen2121 I'll share something that I found out yesterday. So I always wondered when the website gets refreshed for booking. After lots of trial and error, I found out that it gets refreshed at 7:00 AM PST everyday! If you want to book, go to the reservation webpage and start refreshing at 6:59 AM. You can book 2 months in advance so for instance, June 13th (2 months + 1 day from today) will show unavailable for booking right now BUT tomorrow morning at 7:00 AM, it will be available. Keep in mind, people are REALLY fast and when I clicked the reservation button at 7:00AM on the dot, it was already gone😭I hope you have better luck than me. We would love to have you guys join us but at the moment it would be very difficult to schedule it together 😅 We're going camping to Miracle Beach Park site #25 on May 1 - 3 so please feel free to say hi if you're in the area 😄Thank you and your wife for enjoying my videos. I really appreciate the support ❤
