Been playing 1.20 pre and it's actually quite stable. There's some issues I draw with the balancing of the new enemies (I would NOT raise difficulty) They spawn on the surface at night... are way more aggressive and can 2 shot you from range. It's honestly been quite frustrating to play against but I'm slowly making progress

You are able to milk the lactating animals, its just more likely with higher generations. If it says the animal is too stressed, move onto a different animal and by the time you've got back to it, it should be fine to try again. I believe you can do this indefinitely until you successfully milk the animal. Also, I 'm pretty sure you can milk through a gate/fence or from height, which should make it easier and safer. Tedious, but dairy is one of the hardest food groups to increase in the early game. But you're not quite early game 😜

Rather than just ditching the windows, I would have chosen to "place" them on the ground. That way, one day I might find them again with room in the inventory.
