My Grandma would cut her old stockings into strips, tie them together, and wind them into a ball (like yarn). I'm STILL using that "twine" to tie up plants & vines. 😅 Good thing he saved all those useful items for you to find!

My grandpa saved everything, including twist ties.. i think that was the depression era folks.. he was very organized, but kept it all

I just love that peacock tray and that beautiful blue splash bowl. Too bad about the tv trays. I have always loved them as decor and used them for my grandkids when they came over. Watched from Pekin, IL

Karen, do you feel butterflies in your stomach of enjoyment when you find items that you have been desiring? I get happy with even the small things like sewing notions, kitchen utensils, boxes or baskets, sometimes bottles with tops, jewelry not just silver. I like costume or beaded items, which I can take apart and redo( sometimes).
