In this GISB case, the group immediately surrendered to the authorities, and action was swiftly taken to rescue the children. The situation was resolved quickly with clear accountability. However, in the socks incident, those involved seemed to deny responsibility, creating confusion and a sense of evasion. This lack of transparency made it more difficult to address, hence Akmal's more aggressive approach. It's not about treating the issues differently out of bias, but rather responding according to the level of cooperation or resistance faced in each case. That's just my view.

@@slickperspective i beg to differ. (1) GISB blantantly denied many times even when the matter was already unfolded (2) reported news showed, the leaders tried to run away to thailand. (3) the KK Board made an immediate open public apology and subsequently even met and apologize to the Yang DiPertuan Agong. Many pleaded to Akmal to leave the matter to the police but yet he insisted to rally against kkMart. But in this current issue, he just simply said, leave it to the police. Thats what i see ...

The Population in general, had a trust deficit towards any Government Authorities and the Government as a whole, no matter who is in power. I felt it's' derived from the notion that the "Government knows best", when indeed, they aren't, when they've truly failed to listen and are insensitive towards the People. And holds no accountability. And it has nothing to do with any religion either. Yes, it is true that most Islamic nations around the World are considered corrupt, according to International Transparency studies and surveys. And not surprising, that the tenth bottom MOST CORRUPT NATION in the World according to the survey, EIGHT of them are Muslim countries. Are we, considered ourselves a "Muslims country", feel proud about it. Obviously our "Politicians & Leaders" (Muslims or not, well the majority who hold the top and crucial post are Muslims) are far and away to admit the reality. But that definitely does not mean the Religion of Islam had failed to instill moral values & integrity, nor other religion too. But surprisingly, the TOP 10 MOST CLEAN OR LEAST CORRUPT nations in the World all belong to NON-MUSLIMS country (predominantly Christians in some form, or Atheist, even some don't specify belong to any particular religion), including our closest southern neighbor across the straits, which is fall on the number 5 spots on the most least corrupt nation on the Planet.
