I think you could have saved the engine build. I've messed up like that before. You could have used a brand new exacto blade to separate the oil pan from the engine. I've done it before. Anyways. The car looks Awesome.

Yeah, but I try to stay true to any mistakes I make to show that my builds are not near perfect. I also have about 10 built engines that I could have swapped in my parts box too. But I appreciate the input and glad it came out the way I did, Thanks for the comment!

The chassis is supposed to be painted a flat black color. Paint the rails semi-gloss on the chassis. I would have done French Blue on the engine block. I don't know why you use hodgepodge to glue the chassis to the body what. All you need is a little bit of testers glue on a toothpick and just go to the places where you want it glued. I would painted the hood White. Do you use primer paint. Use a gray primer over the body before you paint it White. Gray primer shows the imperfections on the body or any other part. For instant the 64 Chevy Impala has imperfections on the trunk. There are four posts on that body for the interior and for the chassis to set on. Spray lacquer primer over the trunk area and it will show the four sink Marks. Used Tamiya putty to fill in the sink Marks. All in all your build was okay but you need to take your time read the instructions and make sure you put parts where they're supposed to be. Have fun and enjoy building models. I dont build models for a living or even for contests or shows. I build them for fun using nothing but the box, glue and paint. I build them out of the box, for me, in simple ways that people who havent done it, or havent done it in a while, I build them to show how fun it is, how easy it is, and to build them for yourself. There are plenty of channels dedicated to professional model nuilding, but I do the HPIGUYS approch, and just have fun. But I appreciate the comments and maybe some viewers will use your suggestions.

Also people that are professional model builders do not use the floor polish. Also I see that you were squirting the paint onto your parts and body let the paint flow out of the can go back and forth without squirting
