Whoever sold this boat certainly chose the best buyer (custodian). Thank you.

When you tapped on the barometer, I had to laugh my butt off. Growing up in the 60' I remember my Mother first thing in the morning tapping on our barometer in the kitchen. From there we were told to take a jacket or not that day. Cheers from Sequim

"Coworkers who think I'm just like a 'Weird Clock Collector'..." Oh, no. People. The weirdness is *much* more grim than that. You have no idea. He's actually... A WOODEN BOAT GUY. The worst kind of Eccentric. Much worse than regular boats. Worse than motorcycles. Arguably even worse than airplanes! Absolutely Certifiable.

Thanks for the tour and your cruise update. My Grandfather (A.E. McMaster) was a big part of the Powell River Company (VP and GM) and was involved in commissioning the boat as the Greta M. Unfortunately, I don’t have a lot of detailed history but I am confident they used the boat to entertain customers of the Mill. In those days the big market for them was the large Newspapers in Canada and down the US Coast. They quite possibly used the boat to take customers from Vancouver to the Mill and then cruising further north. S.D Brooks President of the Powell River Company later commissioned the MS Norsal although I think both boats were used by the company for a short time.

hi did you have to change all your equipment when you changed her from 32 to 24 ?
@MV_Argonaut3 ай бұрын
Previous owners started the effort with step down converters, so it was a work in progress. Some of the older equipment works on 24v despite being a 32v motor. Overall not a massive conversion - since most things are manual to begin with, not everything runs on electric!
@georgemicall3 ай бұрын
morning, have to start with that you have a very beautiful boat, was asking about it because I have a motorsailer and it has 24 and 32 volt system but it has a lot of 32 volts equipment .
@MV_Argonaut3 ай бұрын
It’s a pain to change out the equipment but see what it is / how it does on 24v you may not have to. Electric motors, etc. can often run on lower voltages

Your videography needs some work. Have the camera forward as you are walking and commenting then move the camera to each item, space or cabin in turn as you describe them. We don't need to look at you; we know what you look like. Pretty much all we saw was your mug. Nice boat.

Thanks for watching, and for the feedback. I’m still learning the best way to put together these videos and agree that looking at my face isn’t the best content out there, so I am trying to incorporate more footage to put over my voice. Let me know what you think of my more recent video, where I tried to reduce the amount of talking into the camera. It’s hard to capture so much and put it together after the fact, but am working to improve.

Awesome video as usual … you just gesture way too much during the “monologue” and that makes it a bit funny. A bit less hand, eye brows movements and head gestures would make you look more chill. Other than that, I absolutely love Argonaut and life you have.

Thanks for the feedback! I'll work on improving my camera presence going forward.
@_blento_26373 ай бұрын
@@MV_ArgonautNo. I apologize for miss communication. there is no need to improve your camera presence. I believe your video(s) are amazing especially your drone footage. I wish those drone footages are bit longer as well as video in general. What I saying is that you should look how Leo stays still when he talks in his videso. You move hands and head all the time and that is bit funny. I do not mean anything in bad spirit. I envy your life and your boat. Stay safe.
@SensibleCreeper3 ай бұрын
Your vids would be 10x better with less face time. Narrate subject matter with roll shots. Eg: your face is yapping away while trying to show the ceiling @ 9:03. Show off what you are talking about instead of standing in the way yapping a camera.
