New Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) 2023 has been unveiled by India with an ambitious goal of achieving $2 Trillion in Exports by 2023. It aims to boost India's exports by shifting from incentives to remission and entitlement-based regimes. The New FTP 2023 introduces amnesty scheme for default in export obligations. The scheme is intended to provide relief to exporters who have been unable to meet their obligations under Export Promotion Credit Guarantee (EPCG) and Advance Authorisations, and those exporters who are burdened by high duty and interest costs associated with pending cases.
