Like so many, this is a must do. Been on that ride enough to know the smells of each scene. Thanks for capturing the ride 4K. Wanting to get there when they temporarily have the Soarin’ Over California. Thanks for what you do to get me by between trips.

My favorite ride at Epcot! Respect for California as the OG, but this is my favorite version and I can't wait until it returns to Epcot. That emotional crescendo moving from Iguazu Falls to the Eiffel Tower to Spaceship Earth with Jerry Goldmsith's stirring score. Even the CGI transitions have a fun retro 90's utopian scholastic vibe, like a DK Eyewitness Science Book or an old Microsoft Encarta digital encyclopedia come to life. The spirit of EPCOT Center is alive in Soarin' Around the World! Thanks so much for creating this video so I can enjoy the ride while it's gone!

Have always loved the music for this attraction: from the original SOC (by Jerry Goldsmith) throgh SAW by Bruce Broughton using motives/themes from the Jerry Goldsmith score. I also love all the flying movie musical references in the queue (you caught a little from the theme from "The Last Starfighter" there from 2:45). Ok…enough Walt Disney World Musicology! I have always loved the whole of this attraction…and I am one of the people who applaudes at the end as if at a concert (or is it from the very old practice applauding landing at the end of a flight). I’m looking forward to the return of SOC to Epcot…will be great getting the chance to see it again if playing during one of my upcoming visits!! That ending…giveing us the view of pre transition EPCOT…love it (even though, that I know of, fireworks were never viewed from that position…would have been launched from the parking lot!!) Thank you, 4K, for bringing this to us today!!

I agree Rick, the original Soarin’ music was sooo well done! Haha you are right, those fireworks at the end are completely CGI! They never launch from that spot in real life, but it would be pretty crazy if they did! It’s always my pleasure Rick, thank you!!

The first time I ever rode this, I was on the right side where the picture is a little skewed. The other day I was lucky enough to get the middle section on the 2nd row. It was awesome!

We know it will take years to update that film & I hope there isn't as much CGI. Don't know how I did it, but saw the original SOC when at DL. It will be a nice change for WDW🤸‍♀👌💜thx 4

Haha yep I did ask for B1 this time! For me, I never really minded having feet in my view lol, but it is best to me in the top row. It’s nice to visit Innoventions Plaza while riding this, but it’s also extremely sad for me too😩 I’m sure they’ll update eventually, the question is will it be within the next decade? I waited for 3 hours in line. Back in 2007 when this first opened. You should have seen how packed this area was.

@@4KWDW I didn't know about the fast pass back then. But after that, I got the fast pass and never waited in line like that again. That was why we had to wait for 3 hours. The fast pass people went on first.

I'm hoping the temporary return of the California version means they're working on a new version for Epcot. Hopefully with a lot less CGI!! The original is far superior, in my opinion, for that reason. I still love it though! Thanks as always!!

Yes, over California is much better! Way more twists, and turns and hovering over waves. There’s really not much to this one. Pretty much just straight ahead. A little boring.
