Id recommend getting a sleeping mask to help with the light in the morning and possibly some comfortable ear plugs to help with the sound. Thats what I do when I camp it it helps tremendously!

FYI jetboil makes a small adapter you can put on top of the flame assembly that will allow you sit pots and pans on it. Works just as well as the pocket rocket.

Actually you can use jetboil for frying, you just need one small add-on for it, google the pot support for jetboil. It does not cost you more space, it assembles to the cup with the stove. It makes jetboil universal, i just love it and have it always not only for hiking, but for car traveling too. Thx for the video, you are the best as usual! ❤

Hey ER, don’t forget that some of those camping meals are going to be eaten after a long day of heavy to moderate exercise and sweating! Think Appalachian trail thru hikers. Replenishing your electrolytes after that is vital for being able to keep going the next day, and 50% of DV could actually be a very modest amount depending on your water usage throughout the day.

And it's bad because I'm a bus driver and this happened between shifts on my 50 minutes break 😂. Because those lovely birds, and your pleasant ASMR. One thing I would recommend investing in is something called a long spoon (self explanatory), it just makes it easier to stir/eat from those dehydrated food packets without getting your hand in the actual packet. Also the pocket rocket is a much more packable and lightweight alternative to the jet boil but lacks some features, for example the boil time is much greater, you’d need to invest in external pots and pans and it lacks a wind guard which means you would need to be either sheltered or bring your own so just some things to think about for the future. The stove system above the jet boil would be a liquid stove system (MSR make some great ones such as the whisper lite) They are pricy but liquid fuel has a much greater efficiency so saves you money compared to white gas. They are also much quieter and burn much hotter so take less time to boil water and they burn hot enough to cook actual food on, so not just those dehydrated meals. Plus they pack small. They are also much better for the environment as you can refuel the liquid gas canisters yourself. I really love this style of ASMR and appreciate the time, effort and research you must go through to make them :)

Swift coffee is a very good high grade freeze dried coffee brand. This sounds like an advertisement, but it's been my go to in house and in camp coffee for years. Very easy to just add water, more time on the trail.
