I actually filmed this video over a month ago, but then Tyler and I got ENGAGED so I ended up making a couple other videos about that first...but now it is finally time for a new BIBLE STUDY WITH ME series going through the book of Ephesians! 🥳
Ephesians gives us an overview of the Gospel story, then draws implications for how the Gospel story should affect our stories as Christians. It covers big themes of Christianity, particularly as it relates to God's work in the church, or community of believers.
In Ephesians chapter one, Paul details for us the spiritual blessings that are ours in Christ, flowing from our identity as children of God. He also gives us a template of sorts of how we are to pray for fellow believers.

One of my favorite take aways is when you pointed out that old testament were physical promises where new testament are spiritual. I know He will also give us physical promises but I have learned in my lifetime that not all the physical promises He gives us are necessarily good for us. What I mean is sometimes we keep praying over and over again for something, often times if it isn't good for us. God won't give us some of those things for our own protection but at other times for instance if we have prayed for a particular man in our lives to be with, He will just to let us learn our lesson because He has warned us about this man but we won't take heed to the warning and keep on asking in prayer. There are lessons to be learned to help us to grow. It's these times though, we get on our knees humbly admitting that we knew better but wanted it anyway, now we want God to help us through the issue or to just take it out of the way of our lives. Thank you Jesus for what I have learned and the lessons you have given me through out my life. I thank the Lord for His mercy, I surely would not have made it this far without Him in my life.

Started studying Ephesians tonight. Favorite Verse is Verse 7: In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s Grace that he lavished on us. Key points I learned is that we are God’s Inheritance. We are his prize possession and he has promised us the heirs of his inheritance. He has given us Everything we need it is up to us to pursue it. Thanks for breaking down the scriptures in Ephesians 1 so that they are easy to understand. The one scripture that stood out for me is Ephesians 1:4. To know I was chosen before the foundation of the world to be holy and without blame before Him is reassuring. God is forgiving.

Right on Girl. I have not heard the rightly divided Gods Word Like you in a long time. Ephesians is the pinnacle of the whole word of God. I tell us exactly everything to what a believer is and know What God Almighty Called us to believe and do.

Several things stood out for me from this study. 1.Our blessings in Christ are spiritual in nature, thus, they are incorruptible. 2.We are heirs together with Christ. 3.We have redemption through Christ. 4.We become sealed with the Holy Spirit once we believe in Christ. The Spirit gives us an access to God's inheritance for us. 5.As saints, we are God's glorious inheritance. This assures us that God values and treasures us. Awesome!!!!

Good Morning! So glad to have found this channel this morning. Just subscribed. I have been in ministry for just over 7 years now - with my gift in serving in men's ministry, in children's ministry and as an usher. However, as I have been in ministry of helps, I have not been able to actually find time to sit down and actually study God's Word, instead have been serving other people with provided lessons and materials. I have watched several videos but none until this one has not only clicked with me, but remained in my brain and I was able to take efficient notes without my mind wandering. Such as blessing! Finally found a channel I can press into and better my understanding of his word. From Ephesians 1 - I most took away the difference between our physical blessings versus spiritual blessings that he has stored for us in heaven that can not be tarnished. That blew my mind!

My favorite verse is lean not to your own understanding - Proverbs 3:5-6. Sometimes we go through things and we don’t understand why but it’s important to not lean into your own understanding but to trust God with all your heart. We’re nothing without God.

Very good Bible Study! I have been trying to preach to Calvinists recently, and they really get stuck on Ephesians because of the false doctrines they are taught. This Bible Study of yours have helped me greatly. These are a list of blessings that have been chosen for whosoever believes in Him. Not blessings we received outside of Him. Then Ephesians 2 talks about a time when they were not in Him, but now in Christ Jesus they have inherited these blessings that have been foreordained through Jesus from before the foundation of the earth. Thank you for another beautiful video, Kaci! My biggest takeaway from this was how the character of God is shown in His gratitude for His saints. So often in pop culture, at least in my personal history and experience, God is depicted as some overlord that demands our devotion yet ‘all we get is entrance to heaven.’ Even if that were true, I’d say that’s a massive and wonderful reward, to be sure. But to know that God is not a golden ticket to heaven, but a Father who genuinely loves us and cares for us immeasurably.. Not only is He our inheritance, we are His. I positively adore each time I hear of how truly magnificent God is, and how his generosity, kindness, and love expands further than the human mind can really grasp on it’s own. Thank God He gave us His Word to truly know Him, His power, and His love for us! And that he demonstrates the type of leadership we should demonstrate to our fellow humans here on earth - in motherhood, church, the community, our careers, etc. And what a beautiful demonstration it is!

So much of this stood out. For myself I would say praying this scripture over myself. At the same time the part about being sealed by the holy spirit made my heart so heavy for those wo don't believe in the baptism of the holy spirit. As I heard another scripture last week stating in the end time, people would have a form of holiness but not believe in the power there of. This made me think we are in those times. Because so many believe in God and struggle to do right without the power of his holy spirit. But this verse saying sealed by the spirit. Does that mean those people who don't believe in this power are not sealed? It brings me to tears for so many.
