THE BOOK OF EPHESIANS
LESSON 2 - OUR SPIRITUAL BLESSINGS (LESSON 2 of 7)
This is the SECOND WEEK of our study of the Book of Ephesians. The optional pre-reading was Ephesians chapter 1.
We begin with a brief review of the first lesson’s matieral, and then take a few moments to go a bit deeper into the structure and the content of the Book of Ephesians; which is easily divided into chapters 1-3 THEOLOGICAL and 4-6 in the much more PRACTICAL vein.
We then give time for the Bible Study Crew to share their favorite passages from the pre-reading.
We then look at the concept of “predestination”and the grey areas (also referred to as “Tension” points in the Scriptures) that have differing meanings and are hard to grasp and have often divided Christians on their interpretations. Pastor Randy speaks about the fact that we as Christians are supposed to MAJOR on the MAJOR doctrines of the Scriptures, and MINOR in the MINOR differences of disagreement that can be encountered in Scriptural interpretations.
We then take a look at the differences of the ancient Ephesians beliefs in their “gods” and their expectations vs the one true God and how different they were and how that would impact them so much!
We conclude with a “Big Takeaway(s)” from the things we have studied.
