From November 2017, comes an epic straight pool match between Darren APPLETON and Jayson SHAW at the Accu-Stats "MAKE-IT-HAPPEN" 14.1 INVITATIONAL, a 6-player round-robin format where each win is $1000 in the players' pockets! The two players with the best record go on to the Finals to face each other once more for the title and one more extra $1000! This is match number 6 in the tournament with Darren Appleton having a record on 1-0 and Jayson Shaw with a record of 0-1.

Jason Shaw breaks the balls very aggressively, because the referee hasn’t learned how to rack them as yet ,if balls aren’t very tight it takes away from each player. FYI I always rack my Owen it allows for high runs .

I enjoy JJ's commentary, but he continually mentions that they are playing "all-ball" fouls. I understand the rules of the game and what constitutes a foul, but he makes it sound like this is a special set of rules. If you are shooting over a ball and you contact any object ball with your cue, it is a foul. If you contact any ball on the table with your hand, hair, clothing, etc. it is a foul. So what are "all-ball" fouls?

What you described is "all ball fouls". Under some rules, like in VNEA, if you contact an object ball accidentally it is not a foul. Your opponent has the option of leaving it in place or putting it back where it was.

At some point straight pool can catch up with you, no matter how good u are, and it can take u downhill and make u look like a fool. Now Im curious and I have to see the whole game lol

A coach told me " there are NO easy shots"...words I keep in ming during a match. Your opponent can miss at any time. I've seen highly ranked players miss a 4" shot in front of the pocket when the pressure was on....so don't let down with thoughts of "Oh, boy, I screwed up bad and know the game is over." Chalk you cue and get ready for your next chance.

6.6 Touched Ball (8 Ball)WPA It is a foul to touch, move or change the path of any object ball except by the normal ball-to-ball contacts during shots. It is a foul to touch, move or change the path of the cue ball except when it is in hand or by the normal tip-to-ball forward stroke contact of a shot. The shooter is responsible for the equipment he controls at the table, such as chalk, bridges, clothing, his hair, parts of his body, and the cue ball when it is in hand, that may be involved in such fouls. If such a foul is accidental, it is a standard foul, but if it is intentional, it is 6.17 Unsportsmanlike Conduct.

Jason needs to get himself some videos of Rempe, Varner, Mizerak, Sigel...the game he's playing is not sustainable...you can only shoot your way out of trouble just so many times...it will catch you.
