14.1 - John Schmidt, “Mr. 400” in 2008, was up against Johnny “The Scorpion” Archer at the 2008 Make-It-Happen Straight Pool Invitational. Schmidt, 35, was the 2006 U.S. Open 9-Ball champion, but was best known for his high runs in straight pool, thus his “Mr. 400” moniker. Archer, 39, a 1999 U.S. Open 9-Ball champion, was also a two time holder of the World 9-Ball title. This event gave bonus money for high runs. Maybe you’ll see one. Maybe?
Bill Incardona and Danny DiLiberto shared the action.

51:00 Archer gives Schmidt a handshake when he makes a 150 run. Again, this is sportsmanship and real pool. I APPLAUD when my opponent breaks and runs on me!!!!!!! Such good sportsmanship from Archer in this match!

And no one would believe at that time John would be renamed "Mr. 626" in the future.

Yes, I agree with you. In the game, John Schmidt made several mistakes of pocketing about the ball order. That made him difficult pocket whole balls. Now, I believe that he will not make the same mistakes.

Match would have been shorter had Johnny not picked up a 142 pieces of invisible lint off the table

Incardona's clearing his snotty sinuses every 30 seconds was a great addition to the commentary, didn't he know there was a mike? Maybe the next uploads will be some matches with the commentators farting on air.

38:00 LOOK AT THIS SPORTSMANSHIP and friendship, THESE ARE REAL FUCKING POOL PLAYERS. Archer has been seated and is witnessing an awesome run, a real pool player loves to watch that even from his seat. And John and Johnny are talking about this leave like barmates!!!!!!!

44:50 At any point, Archer NEVER EVEN ASSEMBLED HIS CUE. HOLY SHIT. And Archer sits and becomes an interested spectator JUST LIKE YOU AND I!!!! That's a fucking pool player folks, that is class!

John is just great. Incardona IS in need of some other job. He never shuts up and is never wrong (except), he just does not understand the game. he might be a nice guy, I do not know. But, he sure is a lousy commentator. That run was just about the most perfect demonstration of cue ball control and stroke execution that one could wish for.

31:00 The know it all commentators, calling the pink "the 6 ball in snooker," the balls aren't numbered in snooker!!!

he sounds arrogant but he's still smarter out of you too. He meant pink six in snooker, six is the number of points.

What foul?
@redringofdeathgamer

At 57:02 the commenter says "he fouled... I don't think the ref has the heart to call it.". And he did foul. The cue ball hit the rail, back into the cue tip, then forward again. It was quick but it happened when using the extension and bridge.

@@redringofdeathgamer Watch it frame by frame by pausing video and then using , and . to go frame by frame. I don't think he fouled. The two grandpas in the studio were wrong about the 169th time this match.
@Dancindazed
@Dancindazed 2 жыл бұрын
@@lintulauta123 yeah agreed, no foul. There was some recoil on the cue that made him shift the bridge upon the hit, that's why they thought it sounded funny. but cue to cue ball was clean.
