Let me take you along on one of the most unforgettable chapters of my 2500 km monsoon bike journey, starting and ending in Chennai. The adventure was packed with stunning landscapes, incredible roads, and unforgettable experiences.
Day 4 was particularly special. It was a challenging but rewarding 320 km ride from Kanyakumari to Rameswaram. Rameswaram is a beautiful coastal town located on Pamban Island, in the southeast of Tamil Nadu. It’s a place steeped in history and natural beauty, and the ride to get there was nothing short of mesmerizing.
Once we arrived, we made our way to Dhanushkodi Beach, a truly magical spot at the tip of Rameswaram Island. Here’s what makes it so unique-this is where the Bay of Bengal and the Gulf of Mannar, two mighty water bodies of the Indian Ocean, come together. Locally, this point is known as Arichal Munai. Standing there, watching the waters meet, was an experience I’ll never forget.
If you ever get the chance to visit Rameswaram, make sure Dhanushkodi Beach is on your list. The serenity, the beauty, and the sense of standing at the edge of the world are unmatched!
