I agree. There are a lot of skills to learn along the way.

Great work! It definitely takes dedication to stick with such a tedious hobby long enough to complete it! Nice Explorer 🎸 👍🏻

Congrats on completing it. If you imagine all the people and work and much finer detail put into the real thing, that is what you are up against. Model building is not for the faint of heart. Well done!

Very nice build and video! I noticed you sanded the bulkheads that support the deck flat. The deck is supposed to swell along the length, that way water drains off the deck.

I think you joined the rudder with the drift. anyway a beautiful job . I did the reverse for the color: mahogany-colored waterline above and creamy white below.

Nice build is this really your first? as you've done a great job, just like to point out its not a full scale build, full scale would be full size

You mention puzzles as a means of distraction and relaxation, but isn't a model kit, the same thing without the puzzling aspect, lol!

Definitely true!

Very well done! How long did the build take you? Looks like many hours!
@hobbyone16 ай бұрын
I didn't track the hours but I believe that beginner kits are estimated in the 100-200 hour range. I would say 100 hours is not a bad estimate over the course of several months.

Did you use the same planks on the deck or did you use a bigger one in the middle?
@mandrku3 ай бұрын
Can you give us the plans of the boat. I will try to make it bigger on liser cutting machine. I will post here the SVG DXF Files.

That's illegal😂 the model is copyrighted.

Beautiful model, but the hull planking needed much more sanding. Michael

I agree, a lot of improvement can be made on the hull. Thanks for feedback!

This model is not full scale. If half scale means One Half of normal dimensions. Therefore Full Scale is normal dimensions. Just to let you know.

Awesome job couldn't take the music, went to mute,shure i missed commentary.
@keithwhisman5 ай бұрын
Why didn’t you just use the CA glue I saw spill out of the box instead of that sloppy wood glue and when you plank anything especially a boat each plank is against the plank below it made easy with CA glue.
