I agree - a bag of different types of cookies mixed together will all have a hint of the strongest flavor in the bag. It’s a good idea to eliminate waste though.
@ThisWithThemАй бұрын
Yeah such a good idea to get rid of waste! Maybe they need to do flavour bags to keep the flavours separated!? That would be cool

You commented about the bags of broken biscuit bits, which lead to memories of "misshapes" from the Cadbury factory. You may recall the Newfoundland Chocolate Company chocolate bars in the colourful "Jellybean Row Houses" beautiful wrappers. They also sell their "misshapes", delicious slightly imperfect truffles and chocolates. The bags are called, "SHAG-UPS"! 😮😉😅 (The word shag here in Newfoundland and Labrador is considered a very mild expletive, absolutely fine to be uttered by even children.)
@ThisWithThemАй бұрын
Oh yes I remember them! That is so awesome they do their own misshapes too!! It's such a good idea isn't it! How funny. We probably couldn't have that name for them here too many people would be inappropriate haha 😂😂

Here in the states, there are companies that is buy up, not so perfect fruit and vegetables and sell them. Helps keep the food waste down from the farms
@AzureSkii.KismetАй бұрын
Pieces of fruits and veggies that the grocery stores will not buy, I love it cause it's only pieces that are extra large or small or misshapen
@rosie4696Ай бұрын
We got that in the uk!
@ThisWithThemАй бұрын
Ah yes!! We have some like that too. One of ours is called Odd box which I like the name!! Such a good idea to eliminate waste

And they taste totally fine don't they!!

If companies are going to do bags of broken biscuits (cookies), then they should do what Pepperidge Farm does. We have a factory about 30 minutes away from my town and they have a small store and sell huge bags of broken or rejected cookies, but all of ONE flavor or type for a lot less money than one small bag in a regular store.
@ThisWithThemАй бұрын
I would have to agree!! Not sure the mixing is the best idea

Lovely surprise to see you guys on a Monday. Oh I loved the red velvet Oreos but my eldest Jamie had the same reaction as you both 😂 I thought packets of broken bics were common to all households here. Biccy pick n mix. 😁 I'm definitely with you though Kate. I only like a few bics anyway so I don't want randomness snuggling up to them and infiltrating them with crumbs 😂😂😂😂
@ThisWithThemАй бұрын
Thank you Helen 🥰 Haha they were just so awful and we never like saying any food is awful really! Glad you enjoyed them though. Funny how peoples taste is so different! I'd never heard of it but our mum had them growing up. Haha we are exactly the same Helen 😂

I like the mcvities broken biscuits boxes lol. The chocolaty box is my favourite . Only get it once a year or a family circle lol. Christmas time generally. Lol. The stollen bites and mince pies are out already lol. I swear christmas starts earlier every year. All out since beginning september. Lol. Xx
@ThisWithThemАй бұрын
I never knew Mcvities does the broken boxes too! I think I would prefer them too. Christmas is the perfect time to buy a good old box of biscuits isn't it!! Yeah it really has started so early hasn't it!! Can't believe we were seeing Christmas items in September!!

It's funny that you mention how the Oreos taste different in different places. I was recently on my way home from Edinburgh to the US and I had a layover in Amsterdam. I picked up a small pack of Oreo minis in the Amsterdam airport and they taste nothing like the Oreos we have in the US. I thought they were pretty gross so I ended up throwing them away. They tasted like off-brand/geric Oreo wannabe cookies 🤣🤣
@erdbeerenbbyАй бұрын
I’m American but live in Germany and the Oreos taste the same as far as I can tell! I think it’s prob since you got them at the Amsterdam airport. I also layover there whenever I fly back to the us and I don’t trust any of the food there 😂 that airport is shitty theme park food vibes imo
@ThisWithThemАй бұрын
No way!! It is funny same brand items don't taste the same! Must be the different ingredients or something?!

The not liking biscuits touching thing is one of the most Autistic things I've ever heard lol - I'm not sure if Kate is neurodivergent but I'm the same. I don't like a lot of food touching and I am Autistic. Like for example, my dad will put both gravy and ketchup on mash potato and I'm like eww I can't have BOTH at the same time. Needs to be one or the other. And if I have multiple food of the same texture on a plate, they can't be right next to each other! So if there's multiple wet food then I can't have them touching!
