I love them both, but I'd have to go with the sideshow pf. The sideshow batman looks more like how I picture the world's greatest detective.

They both look great but the Prime 1 Batman is on another level. Your unboxing video the other day helped me make the decision to order the exclusive version and the comic that the pose is from. I primarily collect Marvel QUARTER scale so that's how impressed I was. Love your videos!

For me it‘s unfortunately a very easy decision! I would get the Prime 1 piece, i love everything on it. The SS PF is really awesome but it has no chance imo. The P1 has such a dynamic pose, bigger presence that it easily wins for me. I would only get the SS piece if i had no space for the P1s or if i had as you a great cabinet of a punch of PF! Unfortunately i won‘t get any of those 2, because i feel that i don‘t need 3 Batman in my Collection. I will stick with my P1 Batfleck JL & Batcave Batman Hush for my comic pieces 😊

Been looking for my first (and, due to limited space, only) quarter-scale Batman centerpiece statue, and these 2 were the top contenders. Skipped the one with the pleather cape as my country's tropical weather was sure to wreak havoc on it sooner than later. Then got excited for the New 52 version from Sideshow/P1 after learning it was all-sculpted... only to find out how outsized the whole piece was for my place. The search continues, I guess.

I love my Sideshow Collectables Batman! I did not have a ton of money. I wanted to get the iconic "Dark Knight" figure that would last forever. The Sideshow meets my collector's need. The detail is amazing and yet fits so neatly in any space you may have. Plus, the Matt Reeves' future Batman movies favor the Sideshow/Arkham Asylum video game series. I love the Prime statue too...but, if you want the true symbolic image of the Dark Knight, and you have to watch your pennies...go Sideshow! A tip of the bat wing to the sculptors at Sideshow! Great video "Batman Collector". Keep up with the fun stuff!

Sideshows Batman PF is my absolute favorite Because I'm a fan of the Arkham games and the base shows that he's at Arkham, but prime one has the the most dynamic Batman statue I've ever seen.

I just ordered the Phase 1 and have already made tons of room near my entertainment center in my living room. He'll also be displayed on a turntable, so he can see every angle of the room during the evening. Indeed, it is a great time to be a Batman Collector! But my most prized possession is my tattoo of Two-Face's scratched coin on my arm that I just got last week.

P1 has too many negatives for me to ignore. Over-scaled, too big a foot print and sculpt is lacking in detail. Sideshow is perfect.

I believe the prime one piece cape overwhelms the statue, it's the giant scallops, my eye goes to that first every time I look at this piece. The sideshow, my eyes goes directly to the center of the Piece. And I can soak in the whole statue at once. And for $200 less than prime one I believe it's the better statue. Sideshow wins!!!!!

It's Prime 1 for me, but you really can't go wrong. I just love the dynamic pose, flowing/sculpted cape, etc. Sideshow is great as well, especially if limited on space.

The P1 New 52 scales are all over the place. This is a tad over 1/4 and the GL was under 1/4. In fact the heads sculpt on the GL is closer to 1/5 scale. Crazy!

New 52 is much better in my opinion, comic book based statue in the art by Greg Capullo( at least it looks to me as Capullos Batman, and he is the main artist during that run) during new 52 run. Unique pose, very dynamic and awesome base. I am not a fan of Sideshows pieces because they are interpretations made by them. I prefer to have comic book based statues in my collection that interpretations of a guy who I don't know who he is of my fav super hero. Comic book based statues talk to me about a particular Batman in a particular story arc and I love that. I can't get bored of that. While sideshow pieces don't make me have that sentimental attachment to their pieces because they are just interpretations made by their artists.

While the P1 is way more dynamic and imposing...the Sideshow surprisingly is better detailed, especially in the face and suit. I also like mixed media, especially when it comes to capes. Just wished he wasn’t so crouched. On the base, well, that’s where the P1 shines.

The PF was my first contest win and he is incredible. The prime 1 is great but all my 1/4 scale is sideshow I think the size difference would bug me.

Prime 1 new 52 is better as a stand alone piece without question. The sideshow one though does pair better with the other rogues from sideshow.

When your camera is on both the P1 definitely is slick and shiny compared to the SS piece. I'd love to see the SS version in the same dynamic pose as the P1 .....that to me would be perfect. The SS suit just has better armor (+ it's battle damaged), better texture and better color. Both are great but for different reasons as you stated.

IMO the P1 piece wins thanks to it's dynamic pose, more interesting base and sculpted cape. That said, imo SS isn't far behind. It's portrait is more detailed/better and that flimsy little grappling hook the P1 bats is shooting looks ridiculous.

The Prime 1 is way better than the Sideshow one. Hands down. To me it represents the real Batman. The Sideshow one looks like they tried too hard to make it similar to the Batman Arkham games.

Hey Chris, on most if not all of your reviews you have that center piece in the back prominently in view. It is an awesome piece. Was wondering if you've made a review on it? How was it made and did you make it yourself? Paid someone to do it? What was your inspiration to make it? Also have you ever used display cases and if so which kind. I just purchased my first statute a couple days ago (new Batman 52 😁) and want to get a display case for it. Mainly to avoid having to clean the dust off the statue itself. I've checked out legendary but man those are as $$ as a statue lol. Wondering if you've made a review on display cases. Thanks in advance, appreciate the help.

Can't compare these 2 pieces their both equally great IMO.. If I absolutely had to compare which one would be better it would be the Prime 1 because of just how dynamic it is compared to Sideshow's.

Love both, but in this case P1 wins everyday. For me the New 52 Batman is the best quarter scale out there. Has it’s issues but it definitely has the best pose, paint and sculpt.

How do those mixed media statues hold up? Am I gonna come back in 5 or more years and have a totally dry rotted cape? Thats my biggest hang up with mixed media is the uncertainty if its gonna pass the test of time.. I like both but in the end it would come down to that cape.

7:09 I sway to the SS Batman. It's detailed head sculpt wins it. Overall the SS Bats is far more detailed, from the head to the body. P1 is very smooth and simplistic.

To me the Sideshow one is far far superior in almost every way EXCEPT the base. The base on the Prime 1 is very nice, but that does not mean that the Sideshow one is bad, just different. The muscles and paint on Sideshow one is superior also to me. Also the Prime 1 version is way way to large for this reporter size statue. Lastly the fabric cape on the Sideshow one is really nice. Once you have it posed it is a standout feature that everyone who sees mine comments on. Looks real. Sideshow wins for me.

Hey Chris it's me again, Sideshow tells a story also. If you know the story of mad dog himself who actually murdered the daughter and wife of Amadeus Arkham, who inevitably, revenged his loved ones, and was committed to his own asylum. You probably know the story but your fans may not.

SS Batman tells the better story. The Mad Dog reference is outstanding and original. I think SS Batman wins this one surprisingly. The portrait, foot print, pose and details are better. Try to display the fabric cape away so Batman's shoulders show more. I think it's a better look. I'm just glad you got rid of the OG Batman. That statue is awful.

I'm a bit late to the party on this but I ordered that PF Batman this week and I am stoked to get it in the next few months. I love new 52, but that PF will scale perfectly with my other PF villains. Also I love how gritty the PF looks. It looks like he has been in battles and is ready for more. The prime 1 is very clean, like its his first time wearing that suit haha. Both fantastic but after watching your and Jeff Morris's unboxings I was sold on the PF.
