I'm new to this game and am having trouble with the boss, specifically right after the first wave's explosion ended I was easily defeated by the Devourer in round 2. I failed many times even when the team was level 36

Just use 9 lives, or get "enchanted" status on yourself to survive the explosion. Im on scaling foes and never had trouble with the gigalith's explosion

It was from a special cheat that gives 9 turns of stun scorch to your foes. Even those who are normally immune to it. To unlock extra cheat you have to interact with certain object (the notes) in the final room in the Grand Gallery. (the one that requires all medals in the game to access it)

but what if you use revive and morale status effects to survive the ultimate attack?

Auto Revive and Morale will get removed before killing your entire party so it's a guaranteed death for your entire party from Devourer summon.

@@trickygamer555 If you are talking about dispel immunity then no it won't help you. This is different from dispel. It will remove enchanted/invisible, auto revive, and morale and there is no resistance to that.
