Absolutely love Ayron's portrayal of Antinuous as I prefer a colder, calculated villain myself. He's amazing for this role and I love how much detail you put into thinking of characters and their mindsets (I do the same it really adds to the detail). Can't wait for the next saga Jay! ❤

Exactly, we were just learning in my directing class that strong action verbs like "saving" preferably with a target like "the city" with a strong motivation like "because my uncle lives there" is much easier for an actor to work from than states of being like "evil" and strengthens the performance SO much

I think if it goes to stage then the roles likely will be played by the same actor. Especially parts like Scylla and Aphrodite - that only have short singing parts in 1-2 scenes/songs, they will definetly be doubled up with other characters.

I have never gotten chills the way I have hearing this exact snippet of Ayron singing Antinuous’ song. I played it on loop when it first came out and I still can’t stop myself from breaking out into a smile getting giddy every time I hear it. I have never had such a physical visceral reaction to someone so perfectly fitting a role.

it's interesting how one song over the other best suits his voice too. Clearly he's so good at that modulation and belting so having a stronger, freer song like Antinuous' really shows off what he can do. his original take on Tiresius was gorgeous but clearly more intentional than Jorge had planned for and a softer song, while still excellently sung, doesn't take advantage of Ayron's inclinations nearly as well. not that I'm against Ayron getting more hero roles in the slightest if he does more things like this because damn I want to hear him sing more!

What I got from this was that singing is actually a lot like writing! In both cases, you gotta crawl into the characters' heads and figure out what makes them tick, and as someone who writes a Lot of fanfiction, I 100% understand how this can help singing a character to life! :D

I love how much thought you all put into this. That's what makes it unique. I discovered epic through an edit from my favorite book (Warriors) with the song My Goodbye. As a Greek mythology nerd myself I needed to check the original and the other songs out immediately and they are AMAZING. The interpretation, the voice actors portraying the different characters and the music overall are a masterpiece. I can't wait to see the finished musical. I'm already hyped up ❤

Holy shit that was really well selected. The voice is so fricking attractive but the pronounciation makes it so spine freezing cold and i get really scared. The attractiveness also makes sense for a guy with anough charisma to be the head of a full horde of men that probably all want to be king, but he has them in check. I’m going to be really interested to hear what Tiresias and Poseidon are going to sound like. Because I love how haunting Tiresias’s song is. As for Poseidon, I’ll be curious because I’ve heard several KZbinrs cover those songs and each one has an interesting spin on it. One of my favorite covers/auditions for Poseidon was Morgan Clae because she sold me on the idea of a more motherly rage towards Odysseus. So, I’m going to be really interested to see the final cast for Epic when everything is finalized because I bet it going to be amazing!
