In this week's episode of Realtree Global Hunting, Ian Harford is hunting moose in the epic Canadian landscape of Newfoundland. Previously on his Canadian travels, Ian took a crack shot and dropped a massive Canadian Moose; today, he's after more. Two to be exact. He's got two tags to fill, and two monster moose in his sights.

I am confused as to why anti-hunters even clicked on this video... more so, why they decided to comment. what do you guys expect??? this is a video of a guy hunting, if you are so butthurt about it, go complain to PETA or something, it is not appreciated here.

jojojojo5353 there are quite possibly a wide variety of reasons many hunt; in fact, quite a low percentage of hunters use hunting as just a way to go on a killing spree. first: there is meat. not the kind you can go buy at the store that's been pre-processed and injected with various chemicals for various reasons. also, any extra meat you don't use can easily be donated for charity. second: body parts can be used to conduct business i.e furs and antlers. sometimes, this is absolutely necessary to hunt animals for fur or antlers ( just watch a few shows about people living in Alaska, that would be a really good example of this necessity; I would suggest "Alaska; the Last Frontier") third: population control. if one species gets out of hand via over population, that can lead to many other species having major decreases in population. as far as cruel goes, a quick bullet in the right place is probably one of the most humane ways to go about killing an animal, next to having it professionally put down via Veterinary services. It is obvious though, this just isn't an option when trying to humanely kill an animal. It can be really expensive, and just has more downsides to it than upsides. A simple bullet is cheaper, quicker, and if utilized correctly, can be near painless. sometimes, an animal won't even realize it's been shot, it will just fall, may even be dead before it hits the ground. there's no time to feel pain.

jojojojo5353 You know what, there is not any reason for arguing with you dimwit, because it is obvious you have already been brainwashed by PETA. There is no convincing you of anything, even if I told you I had personal experience and just happen to know quite a lot of hunters with adequate experience as well. you? you've just watched a bunch of youtube videos. You don't have experience, you don't want to try to understand me, so there is no longer any point in trying to educate you.

Brilliant shooting and as you said head shots are tricky. A friend of mine here in Germany had to track a keiler that someone had either had a bad shot on the run or just flubbed the head shot. No jaw and no will to run anymore. He dropped and it aved him any further suffering. Keep em coming!!!

For anti-hunters 1) don't watch and hate on this video. 2) hunting is fine as long as they are not hunting endangered animals.
@emmahunter1923
@emmahunter1923 9 жыл бұрын
If there were no hunters hunting certain animals, they will breed and overpopulate which will endanger us humans. There will be not enough land for the animals which will result in them attacking and killing humans for more land. For idiots like you out there, hunting is not just a sport, hunting controls animal population in certain areas. So before you start acting like a smartass, try to keep in mind that you are a piece of shit. Maybe then your mother will start loving you more than just a loser that needs to go to school. :)

I would much prefer to take a shot like this. The animal is knocked over and stunned by the hydrostatic impact of the round,the lungs collapse and the heart stops so the animal passes quickly. I have seen too many larger animals wounded with people taking head shots. I have had to clear up after other hunters have taken a head shot and blown the animals jaw off leaving it to walk around for days in pain and suffering....so like i say, i'm happy doing things this way! Thanks for watching.

Definitely upped the anty on this one loving the videos. Keep them coming. And for you anti-hunters. Your hiding your instincts deep down inside. You were born with them, its an innate quality to be a hunter, ingrained in many of your ancestors genes. I know I couldn't control it. You know you love the meat you just don't to admit it. Video mad me hungry just by looking at it.

seems like being a pathetic cruel heartless killer of innocent animals runs in your genes, nothing to be proud of, asshole. Serial killers also have murderous instincts and we execute them for their cruelty , lots of animals lives are worth way more than cruel heartless bastard humans lives. Enjoy your next hunt, you may become the hunted lots of hunting accidents every hunting season hehe

jojojojo5353"Innocent animals"? LOL! Animals aren't innocent, nor are they guilty. They are just animals. And moose are not a species you would want to approach, at times they are the most dangerous animal in North America. They would have no issue with stomping your head into the ground, so I have no issue with people hunting and killing them. And before you say it, I will say it for you: Yes, moose are just reacting as moose do when they are approached. Just as people are reacting the way people do, as predators. And you wishing a hunting accident upon someone proves that you are just as cruel and heartless as those you accuse. Chew on that for a while.

Look I don't hunt like crazy and I'm not fat thanks to the leanness of the deer meat that I eat. I like subsistanece. Oh, and turkey as well. I just remember those poor british soldiers that got cut to pieces. Maybe it could have worked out differently perhaps? We will never know. Guns in your country are a bigger problem i year BACK WHEN. Honestly though, I wouldn't want that to be you at the end of the day. They make fun of you guys with how all you can pretty much have is plastic knives. Nearly every day people go to jail in your country for defending themselves in THEIR OWN HOUSE. Against three fucking intruders in the front yard!!!! Thats why I don't the situation where you live. And yes Im giving my two cents in. Maybe your angry you can't have a gun? I don't eat moose because I live in Miami and theres a huge hog problem here, so I take advantage, along with the fact that I grew up around guns in the GUN SHINE STATE of Florida, and I conceal carry on the daily. Thats life for you. I know your trying to be more intelligent but I can detach from instincts quicker than you can respond. That simple. Maybe if I told you I was in medical school you would think differently. Regardless, its of no constellation to me. Thanks for holding back.

I want to know how the hell you guys get these giant game out of the wilderness after the shot. Do you call some sort of truck company to drag it out? How long does it take? and do you encounter other scavengers that try to challenge you for the animal such as bears during the wait?
@ryanruch6170
@ryanruch6170 9 жыл бұрын
the process goes like this 1. field dress the animal (skin it) 2. cut the huge chunks of meat off (hips, shoulders, tenderloins, ribs, etc). 3. pack meat in bags and place in backpacks to carry out. this might take more than one trip. 4. cut meat into smaller portions for your freezer at camp or home. and yes, sometimes bears will come to the sound of gunshots because they know that means there is potential food there.
