We have a bunch of videos from there and more coming. We spent two weeks driving a circle around the island. It is amazing and we definitely want to go back!

Hey greetings from Galway, Ireland! Just came across your video, superb! Glad you checked out Athenry Castle. Pretty cool video folks... hope you had some time to relax and chill out in Galway city? Best wishes and safe travels as you go in Ireland Folks 😊

We unfortunately did not have time to explore Galway. We were on our way to Limerick when we decided to castle hop instead of just driving 5 hours. We loved Ireland and want to return one day! We will definitely visit Galway. Thank you for watching, and we are so happy you liked our video! It was such a fun day!

Castle hopping like a video game. Awesome tour guys 👍👍 We could use that weather back here in Fla.

@EpicAdventureCouple it is definitely hot here. Thinking about the ski jackets makes me really hot. They were definitely needed in Ireland, though, on certain days. I tell people to plan for both temperatures.

Wow what beautiful castles these are! This is such a cool video with a ton of history and beauty! Fun way to find stopping points...we do the same thing!

@PrimeTimeTravelers these castle aren't even the popular ones, but they did not disappoint. Since there are 30k in Ireland, when in Ireland, you have options to see so many. Great thing about castle hopping, you can make it your own trip!

Of the 3 castles the first one was my favorite. Enjoyed all the history. Mike looked like a cosplayer with the helmet 😂I meant to ask how was it driving on the “wrong” side of the road?
@FloridaandBeyond4 ай бұрын
Athenry was the most fun, and Donegal was the nicest. Ballymote was cool, though, because the town looked old. Lol, it isn't the wrong side of the road, just the different side. Mike did really well driving on the left. He only had 2 mistakes at the very beginning, but that is why you need a navigator to help you out when you are new. He loved driving there by the end. We would do it again if we were in a left side driving country. The whole experience was amazing! 🙂

Life in old days was very different. It's cool to check out those old castles. 👍 How this helmet felt, was it comfortable to ware?
@FloridaandBeyond4 ай бұрын
Mike said you get used to it. The piece that sits on the nose is always noticeable, though. He had a lot of fun walking around the castle with the helmet. We had a good day! 🙂

Try and take a detour through the Burren. I'd highly recommend Kilmacduagh monastery and Temple Cronan. St. Cronan is buried at Temple Cronan.

That sounds amazing to do. Thanks for the suggestions! We are unfortunately home now but do plan on returning in a few years. These are great suggestions for anyone trying to figure out what to do in Ireland, though. 🙂

Right! 27 years at 3 a day lol. I wish we won the lotto and could just spend our days doing that 🤣. How are you guys doing in the storm? We got a lot rain and wind but everything seems okay as of now. Hopefully it stays that way! Be safe!

Sorry to sound like a know-all, however the Viking period ended in circa 1014, it was most likely the Anglo-Norman English, easy mistake though. Brilliant video.

Interesting, we were reading the history from the plaques and a history sheet. I am not sure what went wrong here, except we might have confused the years. The Vikings were here years before the house was built. Thanks for the info!
