That may be true, but then again, by the time that you technically play as him, he's fought his way through the entire castle once already, and used up a large amount of holy energy shattering the seal to the forbidden caves. He's not nerfed, just tired out after a marathon battle.

he was already 55 in aria and still a beast, I doubt one more year would have much of an effect.

Julius in Aria of Sorrow = Fighting Machine, the man runs like crazy. Julius in Dawn of Sorrow = Old Man, walks way slower and he looks fatter. But maybe that's just my view of him.
