@@LocalLifeOutdoors I grew up fishing for bream on the Canoochee and Ogeechee in GA. Never been to the Pee Dee, but it looks like a great river to fish. That counter on your fish box is a great idea. I'm going to get one of those.

What's the best way to fish a telescopic pole let the fish nibble and watch the bobber move little bit or let them take bobber go under then set hook I'm thinking getting one

Scott, I usually set the hook if they run with the cork. You dont have to wait for the cork or bobber to go under. If they just nibble it the cork will just move the cork slighty. 351 Cleveland, I usually order mine and have them shipped to my house. I usually split them up between me and my friends. I have a cricket box that I keep them in. There are also several local stores in my area that usually has them. I'm also from S.C.

@@patrickshannon1013 The water level is 8.07 ft today. It was 8.3 ft Saturday and I had to get out of my one man boat to get across a tree to get to the big water. You can probably fish the first lake at the landing to the left. I personally have never had much luck in it. I think the water needs to be about 10 ft to get to the big water to the right.

I have had a few jon boats, a half dozen kayaks, but have spent decades in canoes and like them more for their openness, basically my solo old town pack is set up like the boat you have, except I gotta say...the built in live well is pure genius! When I was really young, if we passed a catalpa tree it didn’t matter if we knew these folks or not. I had climb thee tree looking for worms. He would sit in the back of the boat with a cooler full of beer. I was in the front with orange crush or root beer doing the skulling. I learned to skull pretty good before there were trolling motors!

Hey I just discovered your channel. I gotta ask you though, where(in general) do you fish in the Big Pee Dee? We really have very few cypress trees in the river and the current is about 2 to 2.5 mph. I fish Darlington/Florence County on the south side and Marlboro/Dillon on the north.

Most of the time that I fish big pee Dee I fish graves lake or big Jordan lake which is off of the main river so current isn't as bad. They are located off of hwy 378 in Marion county.
