Epic Christmas Village V display features Department 56 Original Snow Village, Christmas in the City, Dickens Village and Lemax Christmas Village buildings and animated accessories. The North Pole Paint Shop is a modified “Davenhar Heavy Repair” by Harry Hieke. The Lionel Vision line Grand Central Terminal and Base by TW Trainworx is also featured, as well as diecast figures from Barclay and King and Country. The trains are 10th anniversary Polar Express Streamliner Passenger Set, the Scale Lionel Polar Express, The Lionel Polar Express 10th Anniversary Scale Gold Edition Berkshire Train, the Lionel Polar Railroad GP7 with Custom Jordan Spreader Snow Plow, the Polar Railroad SD80MAC Freight Train, including custom Christmas lights carrier/well cars, Lionel Harry Potter Hogwarts Express Train Set, the Lionel M7 Candy Cane Transit Commuter Set and Lionel North Pole Central TrackMobile.

The details you install for just a few seconds of video are amazing. Of course you get to see your village everyday. And I'm sure it has been assembled for some time working on the video. It's pretty difficult to find Harry Potter items in the appropriate size for a Christmas Village but I have found that some of the Hallmark Christmas Tree Ornaments have featured HP figures in about the right size. I've already added a few for next year's Village.

Hi Folks! I'm terribly sorry for the delayed response. I'm well and everything is OK. Your concern for me is deeply moving and I realize how wonderful and powerful are the connections we make a fellow Christmas Village enthusiasts. Epic Christmas Village VI will be released in the Fall. I was 80% finished with E6 when I realized that I just didn't like the direction it was going. It was big but generic and I decided to start over. I've rarely worked from a written plan. I have a few general ideas and the Village just grows organically. It is an incredibly inefficient way to do things but I have found this approach to to be the most fun and to encourage the most creativity. E6 was feeling very "Scripted" and a little boring. The things I want to accomplish with E6 require significant time and that made it impossible for a 2016 release. It has been suggested that I produce a how-to series showing my progress and discussing techniques, products and Village related information. I am seriously considering a "Test" series of 6 episodes begining in February to see if there is any interest. As for now, I'm hard at work on the E6 Village. Just stopped to get a couple band-aids.

BCC, I hope that you can help me. I'm am trying to locate a scene that I thought I saw in one of your videos, but I've watched them over and over again and can't find it. It was in a city landscape, there was a photographer on a balcony or landing. It seems as though there was a platform with sidewalks and stairs, the facade was brick, not handmade but manufactured. Does that sound familiar? Your videos are wonderful and I've enjoyed watching them over and over.....Peggy

+Dan Kuzma Hi Dan. Hogwarts Castle was produced by The Bradford Exchange, Hawthorne Village Division. It's small but as long as it is higher and further back it works as a perspective device. The Car (Ford Anglia) and figures were made by Corgi Die-cast cars and the tree used as the "Whomping Willow" is actually the Department 56 "Craggy Oak".

You have a very good eye. The plexiglass water surface has a wavy surface molded into it. It was used as a diffuse light insert in old office style fluorescent lights. I don’t know what it’s called and it can be difficult to find.

What manufacturer's engine house was modified to create it. I'd love to see more closeup pics and detailed info on how you did the modification. Can you share where you found it, please? Also, I assume it is an O guage, since I know that is your preference. Can it be used on a point to point reversible? Thanks John. That's the O Gauge Lionel CANDY CANE TRANSIT COMMUTER 2-PACK SKU: 6-30165. You should be able to find it at Star Hobby: shopstarhobby.com. Ask for Don. He can help you find whatever you need. It isn't point-to-point auto reversing like some of the trolleys but there are ways to make that happen. Check out Modeltrainforum.com and post a thread on the O Gauge forum asking how to create an auto-reversing loop and they will be happy to help you. I'm not really qualified to answer that question but there are some very talented forum members that are always happy to help. There are no dumb questions. Everyone is welcome. That's where I get all my advise.

I am teary eyed. I am into Christmas village and it started from some Goodwill pieces and I just add more every year..This year I want some skaters but since moving parts are expensive I might have to pass unless I found one in Goodwill or yard sales..Your work is magnificient

That figure came with the diecast car. It was produced by Rio Models 43001G model#CAR47977. The 1/43 model is of Joseph Stalin's Limousine.

Well, my friend, you have outdone yourself again. What did you get four new trains? The Beatles landing, Harry Potter, and scuba divers and all of the rest are again spectacular. Absolutely loved it. I noticed 3 or 4 new signs that really do add to your layout, too. Last year I ordered scuba divers for my garden and then I didn't do one this year for medical reasons. We seem to be on some of the same tracks. My guys were going to actually swimming around. Surely wouldn't put me in your class of garden at all. Anyway, another great job!

I just took a chance too see if you were back, and to my total delight here you are. I too was wondering if you were okay and I'm so glad you are. There is no one else I look forward to more than your displays. I have all of them saved to my favorites so I can watch them all year long. You give me such inspiration with what you do. Your attention to detail (the 2016 on the ball for the New Year) is awesome. I just started pulling out my Village which is large but not like yours, and I was telling my kids that it's too much for me too do and I'm not putting it up this year, but they volunteered too help, but after seeing this today, I'm super charged and ready, because you bring forth such a spirit of the Holidays. The Chinatown scene I just adore and the underwater whale scene, genius.. I take my hat off to you, you never disappoint your fans. Each village outdoing the other. Now that' I've watched several times, I have nitpicky questions which I hope you don't mind answering and will try not to ask too many! : ) Where did you get the wharf section that's by your tugboat? I have seen it and pieces related to it on the King and Country site, usually in conjunction with displaying the Old Hong Kong pieces, but sometimes other pieces as well, but I've never found where they had it for sale on their site, even in their diorama area....Is this something you can special order from them?

+polar bear Merry Christmas Polar Bear! I use O Gauge trains in my Christmas village. HO gauge is probably fine with the Dickens Village or Seasons Bay collections. For the other Village collections I believe S gauge is probably the best match but I just like the dimension and feel of the O gauge better. Also, there is a lot more selection in O gauge than in S gauge. I hope you post a video of your Village. Merry Christmas!
