Looks like a great family tent. Did you have a good tarp under it and tucked under so water won't run under it ? Maybe it needs it's seams sealed with something like seamgrip. It put it up in the driveway and close everything up storm ready and spray water on it and see where the water comes in. I camp in that area alot on a trail near by and I'll tell ya it rains almost every day. Sometimes alittle and sometimes alot. That looked pretty gnarly tho and way up I know the spot. This channel is gonna blow up what a great Video !!
@barelymadeit6 ай бұрын
The tent actually comes with a tarp that attaches around the bottom so idk what happened. Maybe i didnt attach it right. I also used 2 cans of skotch guard on the entire tent. 😞 thankfully though we just picked up and installed our RTT so this next one should go much smoother. At least the sleeping part. 🤦🏼♂️ thanks so much for joining us and we really appreciate your comment.

From my understanding the RSI load bars should be becoming available this month. But another great option are the ones made by front runner that fit the RSI cap. I’ve had trouble finding an extra set for extra support on my smart cap. The front runner ones are just a little taller.
@barelymadeit6 ай бұрын
Man i dont know how but the local Line-X in the springs had a set of RSI bars for the gladiator in stock. We just went and got them today and got our RTT installed. And they were cheaper than thule and yakima really nice quality too.
@buckeyejeeper99966 ай бұрын
@@barelymadeit yes they are, I love mine. I’d just to have an extra set for better load support as my bigger RTT weighs in at almost 200 pounds. So that’s good news for me to hear they’re coming available again 👍👍. We are heading for Colorado next week !

Ya, I had my doubts with no rain fly when you did the video for that tent, would a big tarp work? I have the frontrunner roof rack on my Smartcap its bit heavier than the smartcap roof rack but i got a black Friday deal on it and Frontrunner has a lot of accessories for it. We also have two kids and two dogs and been struggling with the sleeping situation, probably going to get a rooftop tent but for now we've been using a plane ol popup tent.
@barelymadeit6 ай бұрын
I think it was an issue with the amount of rain and the design. Probably more so on the tent. We just decided to try an RTT and let the kids sleep in the bed of the jeep. Hopefully this will work. Fingers crossed or im gonna just run into the woods screaming. 🤞🏻😅

@barelymadeit4 ай бұрын
Thats a great question. So wheeler has more obsticles that are generally on the difficult side. Spring creek only really has the one obsticle but its crazy hard if you dont get the line right. And technically there is no bypass. Or so ive been told. That bypass is illegal.

Camping is not ever so relaxing. It’s always lots of work lots of stuff lots of taking things out and putting things back in. In no way is it relaxing. The ten minutes you get to sit or stop at a cool location is the only relaxing time reason. I love camping but now I never go with it as it will be relaxing. It’s always a lot of work. Fun work mostly albeit. But and something always makes it a challenge. Maybe that’s why we do it. Stay dynamic and just have fun and be thankful can camp and have a rig like that.
