Really? Ok.maybe the writers never made much use of their other lives, but the Flash was basically a CSI, and Green Lantern was a test pilot, who risked his life on a daily basis before he got the ring. Both are intrinsically more interesting than a reporter, and a rich kid! 🙂

Batman Year 1/2 will most likely include Full Circle. The continuation of Year 2.

Pre-ordered the JSA as well as Aquaman, hopefully they will actually happen and the series will be as popular as the Marvel epics. It does baffle why DC hasn't been doing these for the last 20 or so years. I hope they extend it to include the westerns, horror titles, 50s titles such as Robot Man, Rex etc as well. For the JSA, there was also Flash as well as Superman etc (occasionally). Yes, a very weirdly powered team of characters with some little more than a guy in a costume, though Atom did eventually get super strength (pity they never had him as ant-man or Giant-Man as well)

I've read old Caption Marvel Jr comics and they are so hard to find. Even online, many of the comics are decaying. If they could actually make CMJr I would be so happy.

Never had much trouble finding the DC backlog of books. The problem was usually the price.

Superboy shouldn't exist. Clark hid his powers until he grew up, and moved to Metropolis. There never was a Superboy, until DC pulled their first major retrofit, and you don't like those! 😂

With collected editions, DC has always been Lucy yanking the football away at the last second while we Charlie Brown consumers come charging blithely down the field, so we'll see what happens. At least it looks like DC is finally starting to look at actual sales figures rather than..well, whatever it is they actually look at. And yes, that siren was the harbinger of doom for your anti- Flash and Green Lantern heresy (I guess that makes you Antifla 😂)...

I would really love to see Kirby's Kamandi in these editions, and the DC horror titles would be great to see. DC did a great job on their horror and war anthologies.

Much as I love the Adams artwork, I want to see collections of the Denny O'Neil Batman, including the Adams issues, but not ignoring the rest.

Just learned of this addition to upcoming DC releases today and thought of you .. Superboy in may 2025, the real Superboy. DC Finest: Superboy: The Super-Dog from Krypton - reprinting Adventure Comics 199-216 and Superboy 33-43.

I hope they come out and that DC actually commit to keeping the new line of books going, theres so much material sat gathering dust not earning money. Legion and Justice Society are my joint number one picks. Comics I'd like to see in the line, as well as exploring and collecting the golden age, some of which you'll laugh at, include .. Superboy Captain Marvel and related spin offs Titans All-Star Squadron Infinity Inc Enemy Ace Freedom Fighters World's Finest Firestorm Madame Xanadu Captain Carrot and his Amazing Zoo Crew Ambush Bug Arak son of Thunder Arion lord of Atlantis Amethyst princess of Gemworld

The Legion had three omnibus edition volumes that completed their silver age appearances. Based on the cover artwork of this DC Finest edition, it appears to pick up right where Legion omnibus vol 3 left off.

I get the impression that many, if not all of these volumes are going to jump around, in the character's timelines... more thematic than chronological. This in itself is disappointing, as it's going to leave so many issues unreprinted, because they didn't fit the theme.

It, mythology, describes nature to humanity, for worship. (money) In the 20th century, superheroes are proscribed for escapism and art, following the same equation. (money) Now, as a format, favoring nostalgia is just that.(money, only, boomers have)

I'm surprised DC hasn't brought back Superboy in the modern age. It seems a perfect opportunity for Woke DC to force a storyline involving our beloved hero transitioning into a girl.
