I always give it a gentle tug to trip the dipsy if the fish strike didn’t. Otherwise it’s like reeling in a log.

Brown was foul hooked. Not hooked in the mouth area. Must be released!

Why the heck did they keep trolling when trying to reel in the fish behind the boat???
@shinio1Ай бұрын
Not sure I get the concept of all the money spent to not eat fish god provides. I can only assume the waters are sadly so freaking polluted nobody can safely eat the fish.

You released a dead brown. A fish caught that long has very low odds of living. Just because it swam away doesn't mean it lived.

I was watching that on my TV and I got on my cell phone to comment and say that exact thing. Those fish absolutely will not live when you bring them up into that warmer water column. If that fish is in that warmer water column for more than 30 seconds he's a gonner. And I'm not blowing out of my ass I'm 54 years old and I fished trout and salmon a long time. There is no big deal that is dead it's just a shame you didn't get to eat it but you didn't know any better..
