that was awesome. first, Shawn is worried about you hooking his eye. than tons of non-stop fish, than the 2 fish swimming on the ice by your feet, lol and that sound of the ice is awesome. It must have been windy and cold, sounds like the lake making ice

We lost our share of course, but landing 90 made for an epic day. At one time, we had a dozen large fish swim under us. It was so cool to watch. This was our best day ever for weight. We landed a ton of large fish. NO DINKS for some reason. Maybe a dozen smaller sized, but NO DINKS. Go get em pal.

One time for scouts, we slept on the ice at Rockport. The ice cracked all night. Just when you were about to get to sleep, it would crack and wake you up. Also with the unceasing cold, didn't get much sleep that night.

I don't think you could hear me over the crazy winds that day. what a differences in the size of fish from Strawberry vs Scofield. What a monster Rainbow at the 16 min mark. Strawberry is producing BIG fish! I can't wait to get back out there! under water video is super fun!

How thick was the ice. Sounded a little thin

iT WAS 4.5-5". We never really got nervous about the thickness, but the heavy loud cracks sure spooked us for a split second. Hahaha. It was a very solid clear 5 inches for the most part. Didn't see any sketchy ice for walking. I sure wouldn't put a machine on it yet. There have been three snowmobiles out there, but not ours.

Holy crap. I just found out that some lowlife introduced walleye into Strawberry. Personally, fishing for walleye and bass is my favorite type of fishing, but not at Strawberry.

Triple surgeons knot. OR…. Just a simple knit twice on the top jig. They both work but the triple surgeons knot extends the hook away from the line to give it more action.
