Good thing about those lights is they don't freak out the camera either. I've seen some cheap LEDs have a real bad strobe effect or scrolling black bars with a camera rolling.

6000k is a bit obnoxious. I'd much rather have ~4000k as a compromise between "sun-like" 5700k and "silly-warm" 2700k.

I've had bad luck with the cheapie LED fixtures similar to these. They are often driven right from the output of a full-bridge rectifier with no caps for smoothing. I put 27 up in my shop before I realized why the lighting seemed 'off' to me. Turned out they had an 85% flicker rate at 120 times a second. I used a small solar panel on a scope to measure it precisely, but an easy way to test lights for a 'proper' driver is to swing a pencil back and forth quickly between your thumb and fore-finger over a white sheet of paper. It SHOULD look like one blur of a pencil when moving back and forth. If you see 'stop motion' of the pencil as you swing it, the lights are flickering, and any motion under the lights will always 'feel weird' and cause fatigue.

Have you considered getting a scissor lift from some place like United Rental. One tall enough to reach your high bay lights will also allow you to install the LED bars on the other side of the shop. They also make a very convenient work area during the install. They also do a pretty good job of bozo proofing work at height.

6000K is VERY cold and bluish. That type of light is suitable for precise work with lot of small details. The downside is that it stresses the eyes quite a lot and can cause headache especially if the light is pulsating. Another property of those LED lights is their CRI value. CRI stands for Color Rendering Index. This should be well above 80 for decent filming. Poor CRI can also make it hard to read if the text is not black on white. Cheap LED lights are usually cheap having poor CRI, unnessecary high Kelvin value and poor power supply that makes the lights to shiver. With such a construction it is also very probable that when the time comes to replace a failed unit, those might no more be available. On the other hand, those LED lights that are used to replace the "old faschioned" fluorescent tubes have the advantage of being replaceable and having a broad variety of options to choose from. Those can also be mixed in order to achieve more balanced CRI and atmosphere.

Take a look at the newer LED "garage lights" like the ones that are marked under the Bell and Howell name (I doubt that it is still the same company, they probably just bought their name) They screw into a regular light socket with LEDs on paddle shaped extensions you can aim. Come in ranges like 8000, 12,000, and 16,000 Lumens. They start around $25 a pop. That way you don't have throw away an entire fixture when they fail.

I replaced the fluorescent lights in my shop with those LEDs and vastly prefer them. Watch out that the connector wire is well supported because it'll start to fall out after 6 months or so. I've also had two of the switches melt the insides so the contacts don't work anymore. I solved that by hard wiring it to a regular house light switch.

I upgraded my T8 bulbs with philips direct wire LED bulbs. They don't require a ballast and are super easy to use and VERY bright and well diffused so you don't have the star point light effect. 5000K is the recommendation for working areas and offices. I put a two bulb 8' fixture in every 12' or so and then a few two bulb 2' fixture over my critical work areas. I'm super happy I added LED bulbs, and just more lighting in the shop. A lit shop is a happy shop 😂😂

Getting a pallet jack for my shop is one of the best investments I have made. While a bit more expensive, I also bought a manual pallet lift. It is a bit more awkward to use, but has come in handy when I need to get things up higher. For the lights, you might look at the indoor scaffolding they sell at the big box stores. I need to replace some lights in my shop and will probably buy a set rather than risk standing on a rickety ladder.

I have changed all my lights to LED, some that are inside my house are remotely controlled by my phone and programmed to switch on and off at set times, and to change color at a set time, at any brightness or color that I want. And in case of an emergency the regular wall switch can override the program, so when you switch the light with the regular wall switch the light comes on with a bright light. In my shed I used to have a problem with my lights before I switched my regular bulbs to LED. In my shed I have two parallel wired light fixtures that switch on simultaneously, but one of the light bulbs kept blowing up on me because of the power surge. I had to change that bulb so often that I stopped doing it. Since I switched to LED I don't have that problem anymore. In fact, I did not have to change a single LED light since I bought them. Looking forward to see the progress 👍

LED color temperature matters a lot. A shop is not the place for warm white 3500K, but 6000K might be too blue-white for some older eyes. For me, I want it as close to the surface of the sun as I can get! 😎

That shop sounds a little tinny and needs some insulation. BUT it sure looks like a well made structure! So many of those sheet metal buildings are built with red-iron purlins and/or the thinnest material they can get away with! Im liking all the heavy galvanized stuff. Especially with an older welder with HF start, fluorescent ballasts are the worst. I recall long ago when wound ballasts were getting phased out, but solid state ballasts would shit the bed after a couple of HF starts on my syncro 180. LED lighting is soooo much better.
