So, my next guess is someone who was released after treatment at Friends of the Koala, but I've no idea still. I should be a detective, not.

Dewdrop voulait s'approcher et être près du koala adulte car elle s'était récemment séparée de sa mère. L'autre koala a clairement montré avec son langage corporel qu'il ne voulait pas qu'elle vienne à lui. Un comportement assez fascinant que je n'avais jamais vu auparavant et que je n'ai plus revu depuis chez aucun koala. 👏🐨🐨🤗

Dewdrop had a major babysitter fail! That was pretty funny really. I swear the koala she was trying to cosy up to had a tag in the left ear, so I'm gonna go out on a limb(no pun intended) and say she was trying to snuggle up to Bullet. Babysitter fail. Dewdrop is so entertaining and so beautifully proportioned, and persistent, determined she will get what she wants if she tries hard enough and for long enough. You made me smile when you said you faffed around with the picture, it's not an often used expression here in England, and I wouldn't think widely used either but if someone is "faffing around" they're basically sort of aimlessly messing about. I love the picture at the end of the video, in fact I like all of the ones you've done and should love to have copies of them please, if at all possible. Watching Dewdrop's antics has been a great start to a grey but dry Sunday for me, I wondered at first if the koala Dewdrop was trying to cozy up to could possibly be dad, but quickly dismissed that idea and am now wondering if it's an older joey of Maxine's, so therefore Dewdrop's sibling. Time to feed my 3 hungry hounds now, then coffee & dog walking and I think some gardening later on. If I plant a couple of eucalypt trees please could you provide a couple of koalas Katrina, so that I can watch koalas from my kitchen window too, dream on. Thanks for more great koala film, I have to limit myself to "koala time" on you tube or nothing else would ever get done

Oh how sweet! Poor Dewdrop didn't want to be alone. Didn't anyone tell this sweet girl that koalas are loners😅? Maybe Maxine left her too soon? Too bad I wasn't in the tree, I would have loved to be her babysitter❤️🌲🐨. There was probably a male in the tree, my guess is Bullet❤️🐨. Of course, a male is not in the mood for such jobs. Anyway, it was very educational and I got to know a new facet of koala behaviour. The bonus was beautiful. But Dewdrop is also beautiful😍❤️🌲🐨😍❤️🌲🐨😍❤️🌲🐨

@@beautyguidex7331 yes, this was filmed a few years ago, and well spotted, he still had his ear tag, this was before it ripped out of his ear! I think that if you watch closely, she approaches him, uses that chirping noise that joey's use to make mum respond, does not get a good response from him and she ends up giving up and moving to another part of the large tree. I am in theoryland when I now say that she was feeling some separation anxiety, and so she approached another koala. Wasn't he gorgeous though? He was not the least bit agressive. But his body language could not have been more clear that he was NOT comfortable with being approached so directly. I feel that they both learned many things that day. She learned that she is not going to be welcomed by other koalas the way mum once welcomed her. He learned that you can use subtle body language to convey a lot of communication without there being a need for escalation. 🐨🐨🐨🐨 Koala communication is far more complex than many may realise!

@@avaprobst7594 exactly why this behaviour had me so intrigued! Until I literally watched this unfolding I would never have thought it possible. Male koalas have no connection of the idea of being the father of any particular joey. Their strong territorial behaviour is really triggered towards other males. I think that for him, being approached this way by such a young female had him as stumped for the correct response as any of us 😂🤣😂👏🐨🐨🐨
