I’m a huge Rocky fan and l have 8 Rocky statues in my collection and l was going to pre order this figure but before l did l did some research on Star Ace on some collectors groups and they all said the same thing, stay as far away from anything Star Ace does, the released version will be terrible, unfortunately they were right. You should return it. It is interesting that the base and dog are very good. You have to wonder how MGM studios could approved that for release. It’s beyond terrible and like you said it makes Rocky V look great lol.

Been crazy collecting modern 1/6 figures since the Toys McCoy Indy in '99, and I've yet to get a single figure from Star Ace. I thought they only did Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter figures lol...two franchises I have zero interest in. Some have looked all right, but they tend to look like a high-end $60 figure you could buy at Toys 'R' Us back in the day.

Star Ace absolutely lacks quality control for final product distribution. I'd be sending that item back to the point of purchase. You're not talking about a $30 figure. These 1:6 scale collectibles are hundreds of $$ and you deserve a superior product for your money. I feel for you, man. Stallone himself would be disappointed with this product, and we all know this will end up in his home office.

One of the worst head sculpts I've seen for a figure over $100. Eye's are to close together. He's crosseyed. Checkbones are too flat and sagging. And the semetry is waaaaaay off. Plus the did little to no shading. I would've called and asked if they could send a better head sculpt. If not I'd return for a full refund.

My friend has that same figure. He added some details by airbrushing the face and made it look 10 times better. Sculpt is not all there but at least the paint could’ve been better. The people buys these figures shouldn’t have to be customizing these or other figures. Especially for what is paid. Just my opinion. Everyone is entitled to theirs.

I think you gould invest in the loan shark edition. It comes with two heads, one with a hat, the eyes are moveable and the diorama base with Butkis looks too be a better investment. Stallone even talks about that edition, down to the color of the hat. Ya might check that one out. 🙂

Really sorry for you man. I honestly think that nothing is good about the release, the base is awful, the dog is out of scale and the jacket with the tiger sticker is pretty bad. Even the body seems bad. At this point I don’t know why people keep supporting Star Ace. Hopefully you manage to get someone to fix that head at least.

Star Ace's figures are a mixed bag. Excellent tailoring, sometimes good accessories, and quality packaging. Their portraits for figures are just terrible in my experience. Their Scars of Dracula looks little to nothing like Christopher Lee. Their Bela Lugosi White Zombie has horrible paints, including the wrong eye color. Lugosi had blue eyes, yet they painted them brown. Despite the prototype being the correct color of blue. Sly suffered the same fate it seems with their Rocky release. Your honesty will save people from making a mistake in purchasing one. A lot of fans would make the apology tour with "It's not too bad".....but it really is. Sad.

Wow, I’m surprised as Star ace is usually pretty spot on. I’ve got many of the harryhausen Star ace vinyl statues and they are top notch! This is just terrible though. I will say that threezero seems to have made by far the best looking Stallone figures around. They have Rambo first blood and Rambo 3. They are both incredible and best likeness to Stallone. I hope they do a Rocky because they have his face down to a T. You seen any video reviews of them? I have Rambo 3 threezero and he is incredible! Threezero is also doing some incredible gi joes lately as well.
