The sea of stars huh. There just so happens to be an sea in my world called the Galek Sea, and it is a bioluminscent wonder filled with all sorts of aquatic life that glow. Sailing across the sea is beautiful, especially at night-time, and sailors say it is like watching the galaxy drift below you. It's sort of inspired by Vaadhoo Island's beach, but it's not just one beach - the entire sea, and all of its life glows. There is even an intelligent fish species that's learned to communicate by projecting light patterns across its body like writing and emitting it to other members of its race. This track is wonderful and reminds me of that ocean in my dreams.

I've had an idea for a sci fi/fantasy TV show about solar sailing starships (in the vein of Treasure Planet) kicking around my head for a while. This is exactly the kind of theme to go with it. I think I know what my next Quarantine project will be. Fantastic work, Peter Crowley!

All I can think about are two things when I hear this piece. 1. Christopher Poalini's new book: To Sleep in a Sea of Stars 2. One of the seas in a story I'm working on: The Shimmering sea. On a calm night in the summer, the entire sea for miles looks like glass, reflecting the light of the moons and the star perfectly. On nights were the waves are rougher, the moonlight boucing off of the water makes it shine like liquid silver, along the eastern shores, plantkon glows under the light, giving the waves a turqiouse hue.
