Lovely session, I had two days on the Wye last week. Really enjoyed my fishing. Just the one Barbel this time, I'll be back next year. Great video, thanks for sharing.

Excellent days fishing, the Chub were hungry. One point I must make is where is your tether line to the bank, might sound stupid but I have seen one fisherman lose his footing and nearly drowned. Great session 👍

Thanks David. You make a good point about safety when using waders, especially in rivers. I've never heard of a tether before.

@@WildlifeAndFishing I used to fish the Severn at Coalbeookdale and always had a rope around the waste attached to a tree or ground spike when out in the river.

Which stretch was this please? Had a similar day at Fownhope on Tuesday last, great fishing the float standing in the stream.

Thanks for your comments, glad you enjoyed the video. The stretch is a HDAA ticket one, but I hope you understand I might keep the exact location off KZbin. Fownhope is probably my favourite best on the Wye and I fished it the day after this one. Caught plenty more Chub and had my PB Barbel at just over 10 pounds. Keep an eye out for the next video :)

@@owler578 Haha, I didn't realise you were that Nick who fished with Nic at Hunts Corner, Fownhope, etc. I'm Miles, I've fished with Nic recently on the Wye and met him on Thursday at Barton Mill when I was barbel fishing on the Avon. Not sure if its a small world or that we are all attracted to similar things.
