Love seeing Captain Wa. I would always buy live crabs downstairs at RPM and bring it to Captain Wa for them to cook it. They would only charge something like $10-15 to cook a Dungeness crab dish. Brings so many good memories.

Thanks for watching Sam! Wow that's a great memory and service Captain Wa offers! Maybe I'll try it in the future! Which other vendor did you go to?

@@GUTOMOFFICIAL it’s been quite sometime as i’m now back in the Philippines. The bubble tea place was also good but I have a feeling it might’ve changed hands. A Canadian white guy used to own it. The local wet seafood market in the basement level was a well kept secret. They would and this was around 10 years back sell fresh live Dungeness crabs those missing with one claw, they would sell them for as low as 2.99 a pound. Yes only $2.99 a pound, sobrang mura. Sometimes King Crab was also sold for like $9.99-12.99 a pound. Captain Wa has a friendly lady owner that would prepare the freshly bought seafood for me. I often would ask her to make it crab with cream sauce, they would throw in the thin or EFU noodles. King Crab they would steam it with garlic. Same restaurant quality as in the fine dining Chinese restaurants such as Western Lake, Red Star and Sun Sui Wah Restaurants. Is Josephine along Main St still around ?

@@GUTOMOFFICIAL You're very welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed Richmond Public Market, I'm glad you were also able to check out the first floor for the bakery too. As for the food court, I tried almost all of them, but the one I kept coming back to mostly was Chef Liu Kitchen. Good eats, and reasonable prices in Richmond Public Market food court! :)
