I got to sample both recently, and I normally dislike vanilla scents due to the headaches they introduce to me, but Valentino did an amazing job on this one. Its a very smooth vanilla and not overwhelming offensive. I really enjoyed the intense version. I still prefer the original version more, since im not a fan of sweet fragrances, but the intense might be the one to convert me over.

@@alexg.9279 The original Born in Roma doesnt have vanilla, its just "clean freshie" scent. Intense is the really sweet one, and I didnt find it overly vanilla like absolu. Its well balanced and smooth. Definitely worth getting a sample.

I've smelled all, and have many Valentino in my collection but If I have to choose one, it would have to be Valentino Born in roma Coral Fantasy. That mixture of tobacco and apple note is Mesmerising! The longevity is no slouch either, it sticks around for 8 - 10 hours easily!

I'm having fun with Coral Fantasy right now but I will definitely come back when I want to revisit the Valentino line! Choosing between either this or Le Male Le Parfum will be difficult - I also know they are both two of your favorites of all time. Are you able to pick one between these two? ⛽⛽👃🏽

Both of them have vanilla & lavender but they are different. Le male le parfum is different with it's spiciness and powderiness.. And it's also less sweet and it's vanilla is not as smooth as Born in Roma Intense.. Both are 🔥 so not the easiest choice. Will go with Le Male Le Parfum though. It's one of my fragrances for life for a reason 😊 Which one are you leaning towards?

I really like the sweetness of the Intense with lavender and vanilla, but I also like the apple and tobacco notes in Coral Fantasy making it ever so slightly "rough". They're both absolutely year-long, very versatile. I think Coral Fantasy, but only by a hair really. And even then, I'm sad I couldn't pick Intense, lol

Fragrance videos tend to select new version quite often over the older one. Maybe that people would buy new one even though they already have the old one? In my opinion, the original is about 90% of the times better than the new version. I don't remember how this spesific fragrance smells like, but usually these "intense" ones are not really intense versions of the original ones, but something completely different. I feel that often they are kind of darker but also sweeter scents, which I sometimes like when I spray it at the store, but when it dries down I often hate it. I think I wil try this out when I go to a store next time. I have tried it before, but I have no memory of it at all.

The whole line is honestly a fantastic one. Valentino did this line very easy to wear and mass appealing (with the exception of noir absolu which I love, but it's not as easy to wear and mass appealing as the rest). Coral fantasy is an awesome scent and in a way a fragrance that feels like it has more layers to it (i.e it's more multifaceted). But that big dose of vanilla (Born in roma intense) with the lavender and it's sweetness just makes it so good. BiR intense does not feel as multifaceted but to me it just has something very addictive and attractive about it. If you absolutely love the scent of vanilla and think you would enjoy it with lavender and usually enjoy sweet scents then the choice is easy. The consensus seems to be that BIR Intense is better than BIR EDT but for my nose BIR EDT smelled much better. It has a grape, peppermint and ginger-y smell whereas the intense is just a sweet vanilla fragrance with no complexity.
