First watch of your channel. i like it how you showed the tyre pressure and your pressure. so many still fail to do this when off road. Your tow bar recovery point. you are a up/down pin person. this direction makes way more sense to me. the pin isn't about to rattle out and the shackle doesn't flop up and down over bumps. gray the book? i think a screen shot from your map log would be great. i looked it up. its amazing we don't see houses in you horizon shots. you are almost still in Perth. ill subscribe well done.

Thanks Donald appreciate the subscription. Only reason I suggest getting the book is that it’s produced by a local family run Perth company, it actually comes with 15 trips in it & costs about $20.....so a $1.30 a trip isn’t a massive cost. All that being said - if you know where to look online, you can find the waypoints & routes.....I personally won’t be giving out the waypoints publicly, because that’s someone else’s hard work they have gone to, to ensure it’s all accurate & easy to follow.

Hey guys, great video we are currently at mount observation look out watching the sun go down, beautiful place. Can you please tell us where the rocky outcrop is or what road it is closest to that you guys watched the subset from please? We have been looking for a few hours but cant find it. Thanks.

Good to see you out and about again guys. Also good to see the care you take when travelling alone. Total opposite to the Uni student who got stuck in the Cape Arid national park and who walked out. No gear, no idea and a very, very lucky boy. Pays not to take this country for granted.
@great_offroad_adventures4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I was just reading about that 🤦🏻♂️....stupid & lucky. Always pays to take as many precautions as possible when solo.....sometimes it’s nice to have the peace & solitude, but it’s also nice to have another vehicle for those “just in case” situations
@oldbloke2044 жыл бұрын
@@great_offroad_adventures Exactly. I always carry a PLB, water and an emergency "bug out" style bag in the vehicle even when just cruising around. I have to delve more into the emergency 112 number you can ring when you are away from service as another backup as well. Heard it said that the best bit of 4wd safety gear you can have is another vehicle.

Great video, have to check it out myself, only negative I have is the amount of advertising that was on the video, 8 ads, I got away from Foxtel & commercial tv for that reason, I know u get money from them but other channels only have 1 or 2 ads, really drive me insane they do,
@great_offroad_adventures4 жыл бұрын
Wow 8, yeah that’s a bit much, I watched it myself with family & only had 2 ad breaks. I’ll look into this mate because 8 is ridiculous for a 25min video

Perhaps a website where you log all your trips with important waypoints and written review? Hard to find some information out there with quality reviews and waypoints.

Great Off-Road Adventures - Graham Reinders such a simple idea, you could do a hack video of all these simple things

Only problem with this track is how well maintained it is.....they grade out the challenging washouts before you get to Mt observation. I have been hitting alot of julimar to ger my iso fix. Great video guys!

Yeah we had noticed it was in pretty good condition....still beats sitting at home though. Got Avon Valley, Julimar & a couple others all to go as part of this mini series 👍🏻

G'day Graham & Jess, Great to see you both back out & about again, we've been looking forward to watching some more fair-dinkum off road/camping video's again. (Not the thrash the gut;s out of your rig & similar bullshit like that) Mate were can you pickup those trip book's you mentioned? they sound worth looking at. The sound of the old V8 is always music to the ear's, how is the new donk going? I imagine it doesn't have many K's on it yet. Are you going to keep using the snorkel's sock/filter? I've got a couple of them that I rotate & use them pretty much all the time, ( except in city driving not that we do much city stuff in a 12½ ton 4X4 Exp Truck) it's amazing just how much they collect before the main filter, even though you think your in clean air, ( The truck has an 8 Litre 6 cyl & it really draw's in a lot of air ) Anyway Mate you two Travel Safe, Steve.

Thanks Steve. Appreciate the support....we’re glad to be getting back out again too, been a while with everything going on.....The book I referred to is called “4WD Days out of Perth Guidebook” if you want to buy it online then Hema have it in their online shop otherwise Simon at Opposite Lock Midland or Steve at Lifestyle 4WD stock them in store......in regards to the snorkle sock, yeah I have a few in the car at all times, I wanted to run without one & see how much dust was collected in the main filter & then do another similar trip with one on & see the difference.....means we’re off on another trip soon 😁.

Hey there. We followed the Wandoo North trip notes from this book - shop.hemamaps.com/products/4wd-days-out-of-perth - I converted the waypoints in the book into Google Earth & I then read the direction and plotted the path into Google Earth as well, once it was all done I pushed it across to the Hema cloud and onto my iPad.....hope that helps.

Cool video, nice area out that way. Good to just get out and forget bout the world with out driving for 8 hours lol. The camera lady is the unsung hero of these videos for sure, she gets some good shots and id imagine does a power of work off camera to get those shots, like walking ahead of the track to set up or walking to catch up after the drive through scenes. Props to her for the commitment all these years. With the valve caps i was sick of losing the black ones around the vehicle when airing up, as they always seem to disappear once they hit the floor. I now use the bright annodised ones red blue ect, for if it ever falls on the ground it stands out like dog balls, making it easier to find. #oldmaneyes 😂

Jess does an outstanding job 👍🏻 - would definitely be a lot more difficult without her. I normally put my valve caps into my pockets - this works well enough for me.
@krump74294 жыл бұрын
@@great_offroad_adventures absolutley jess does a fantastic job. I would be interested in a behind the scenes video of just what is involved in filming one of your trip videos. The end product is great, but some details on how it came about would be a fascinating watch aswell i believe. Can show the masses just how much you and your wife do to bring a 30 minute video to youtube, free of charge.
