I had a star apple on the Big Island near Kurtistown in 2016. I didn't intend on buying it but I paid 60 cents. My gosh, it was one of the best fruits I had ever tasted.

You can harvest avocados almost all year round , just planting differents varieties -- the seeds flour is even richer in nutrients than the fruit itself ---- just cut in small pieces when it is still fresh , put it to dry in the sun and afterwards takes it to the blender

I was hoping this fruit farm survived the lava, but reading your comment below I found out that this property was lost to lava. Quite sad because it takes many years to grow those fruit trees. Star Apple, Jackfruits, and Mangoes are my favourites. This farm reminds me of my childhood. I’m a fruit tree climber (esp when I was a kid).

Fun little fact, the flavor for juicy fruit is actually a chemical found in jackfruit, not jackfruit its self. You get the exact flavor for juicy fruit as a byproduct of making whiskey (or some other alcohol, but i believe it was whiskey)

Nancy Wolfe 10 to 20 grand an acre. you could buy a 5-acre lot that's got some trees established and a ranch house you'd pay around $150,000. If the property is on a dirt road it's cheaper but you don't have access to County Water and you might not be able to get electricity. Mahalo for watching
