@@TheDerekFrank I am using a 2009 Mac Pro (4,1 then firmware updated to 5,1), then upgraded everything else, too -- including a Mojave-compatible graphics card. I am usimg Studio One as well. I used to use Pro Tools, along with DTouch -- keep wondering if I should but a Raven just to get the software!! You did nice job with your studio/office (I work from home too!)

@@brucerothwell7944 when the touchscreen worked with the Mac, it worked really well, but it is just so simple on a PC. Also taking into consideration how much more performance I got for less money with a PC, it made the change a lot easier

I get that. I use Windows at work, and have consider moving to Windows, but won’t up any earlier than my Metric Halo ULN2 3D interface gets Windows drivers.

I think it looks awsome, but ro have lots of flat surfaces right between the speakers is probably not the way to go...and no, I don't have a solution for this dilemma.

All that gear and you have the studio monitors facing the short end of the room instead of length wise?!?! And no acoustic panels or bass traps?!!?
@TheDerekFrank
@TheDerekFrank 3 жыл бұрын
I answered that in a few other questions. Its to maximize space. Also, there are sound panels. Thats what all of the flags are. Roxul backed acoustic panels.

Room acoustics and placement looks like a trainwreck for mixing.
@TheDerekFrank
@TheDerekFrank 3 жыл бұрын
You work with what you have. Used to have the desk where there drums were and the acoustics were better, but it cut up the room too much and wasted space
@musicproducer9952
@musicproducer9952 3 жыл бұрын
@@TheDerekFrank What about moving the drums to the opposite side if the room? The desk should equal of the same distances of the side walls and at least 3 feet from the front wall. Bass trapping on all four corners and broadband in your first and 2nd point of reflections and probably get some defussers for the back wall and a ceiling cloud panel in your listening sweat spot. I have a similar all in one studio setup as the Control Room being the same room for tracking vocals. I use GIK Acoustics 242 and 244 for my acoustic treatment.
@TheDerekFrank
@TheDerekFrank 3 жыл бұрын
@@musicproducer9952 thats how it was. Then the middle of the room is wasted space. It actually sounds great in there, but I also have another mix room at work, so it's not as big of a deal
