We hadn’t either! It’s just south of Dublin so you would think it’s pretty popular, but we had almost the whole place to ourselves! 🤣 Very beautiful ❤️

I know that road, cycle up,there a lot during the better weather. The old Guinness estate and Lough Tay just behind on the right, down the hill turn right to Roundwood, on to Laragh and then Glendalough . Cycling, I would then take the right fork up over the Wicklow gap, down into Hollywood (it’s everywhere) in through Blessington, across the city and back out to Malahide where I live, that’s 150 km and 6 hours or more. By the way Lough Tay and the Guineas Estate is where U2 recorded one of their albums and where the series The Vikings was filmed , there you go…

I have been watching you both since you came to my country, New Zealand (I’m in Christchurch) & I have been hooked ever since. I went to Ireland in 2011 & isn’t it just so beautiful. Did it remind you of New Zealand? It’s a beautiful place. Also, I was very surprised to hear Wiebe is 40! You both look young and fresh faced to be honest haha. You two are just the best of friends and have so much fun together - really lovely to see 😊

Danielle! Yes!! Hello, my friend!! You have been so supportive to us and it means more than you know! Ireland is so beautiful! There were indeed a few areas that reminded us of New Zealand! (We are hoping to travel back to NZ sometime next year 🤞🏻🤞🏻) Yes, Wiebe is 40!! He has always had a baby face! You should see our wedding photos 😂🥰. Me… Not so much 🤣🤣 I am so thankful for our relationship! He truly is my best friend and we do have so much fun together!! He hasn’t gotten sick of me yet! 🤣🤣 Much love to you!! We are also doing this walk. I have done some research and it seems the best place to park is the car park and then walk down the rocky path and come into the boardwalk from the top. It looks like you came in from the entrance and walked up the boardwalk and then back down the road? We are also staying in the Glen View hotel mainly because we want to drop our luggage off after we arrive from Dublin and then go to Powerscourt, Glencree and then do this walk The next day we will drive the Sally Gap Military road down to Glendalough and do some of the walks there and then drive back for a second night in Glen View. The hotel looks lovely. I'm glad you were happy with it.

@kathyb1011 oh you all will love it! That hike is magical! Yes we parked down on the road, I guess we didn’t realize there was a better car park at the top! The Glen View Hotel was really nice, you all will have a fantastic time! ❤️

If you google ‘Ballinastoe Woods’ there’s a Ballinastoe Boardwalk Entry that shows up off of Wicklow Way. Then a short walk and you’re there! 😊
