Welcome to the brand new episode of Realtree Global Hunting.
It’s time lock and load, as we head to Wales for another Epic Long Range Shooting Session With WMS Firearms Training.
We’ve already shown you how to improve your long range shooting technique and how to shoot long range using the NiteSite Night Vision. On today’s episode, we’re taking it up a notch and pushing it back to 300 metres!
This one isn’t for amateurs; it takes a lot of skill and experience to hit a killzone from such a long distance.
Thankfully, we have our old friends Andrew Venables of WMS Firearms Training and Cai Ap Bryn director of The Wild Food Catering Company on hand to show us how it’s done.
Andrew is a ‘shooting guru’ with years of experience and Cai is no stranger to shooting at long range, but even with their combined skill and expertise this isn’t going to be an easy task, there are plenty of factors that could potentially effect them hitting the target.
When shooting at 300 metres the wind is one of the biggest difficulties that a shooter must overcome. The wind can alter your aim when judging the distance, using a range finder can make a massive difference.
Will they make the grade? Watch the video now to find out.

Team Wild TV how about a video on why venebales could not track down the lynx and felt he had to destroy a creature that's slowly trying to be reintroduced to the UK after generations of over hunting ?

Nazerine/Byron The point I think he was making was that it is long range "hunting" shots and that he does not favour even 300 meters as being optimal- who can disagree? We are talking in structural and a base line for all hunters. The epic long range shooting title is a misnomer and title on this channel are to be taking with a pinch of salt.

steve garnett Dead right mate. People never admit to the long range shot they took and missed or worse, wounded the animal. Great vid.

"Long range" 300 meters? Prone and unhurried, you should put them all in the V-bull at that range. Get down to the range and practice more!

You have misunderstood the salient points of the video. Shooting upto the 300 m distance most shooters will tend to sight the zero point within a collective set of inches. Thereafter, the zero is being affected by a greater number of variables which means you will have to dial in your solution to make sure you have a kill rather than an injury, this was clearly pointed out within the demonstration of the video.
