Seeing how unabashed the Romans were about going to the toilet, considering that pinching the morning loaf was a social occasion, it would be wonderfully ironic if the seal WAS for somebody who made a good living building sewers and latrines. It's a fantastic find though, even if it is a chap sitting on his thinking seat.

The 'button' with a bent pin, looks like it might be the back of a pin/broach. The finding part that's glued or is sewn to the back of the piece. There were ones available where you'd make your own, like an embroidery patch, etc and change out the piece whenever you felt like. If those are holes around the edge, that's where you'd stitch thru to attach the piece.

I never thought I would be as interested In hobby as I am now. Once seeing the plantagenet coin in your newest video and seeing this video, I'm certain that my rookie archeological skills could russel up something nice in the Seattle ballard Bridge area. We have a lock there shipa to and froe, when tides low its a perfect spot to check. I'll make sure I get me a permit first 😌 eh! Thanks foe the upload

The intaglio is so special. I think its roman, just by the age it looks. And yes, he looks like he is on an old pull chain lou. The other finds such as the tokens are so special. Small change. Be well and safe during this virus outbreak over there. Stay well.
