Just subscribed to your channel after it showed up in my recommendations. I love supporting local content any way that I can. What I mean local is anywhere in Atlantic Canada east of Montreal. Most people in Canada think that the eastern part of Canada stops at the Quebec border. I live in Nova Scotia so to me you are local. I loved this content and how you boys were getting along and carrying on that was funny to watch. I love me listening to your accents as well. Nothing and no one prouder of their heritage and way of life then that of Newfoundlander for sure. Now it time for me to grab some snacks and start binge watching all your previous videos. If what I just watch is in the other videos, then I am in for a hoot and a holler for sure. Looking forward to some more content coming all our way. Tom in Lower Sackville Nova Scotia.

I guided my brother on his moose hunt. He wanted to track it like we do for deer. Took six hours and he shot a nice bull that was bedded until I whistled ant it stood up. It was over a mile in the woods so we left it and came out in the dark. I tried to reach it next morning but couldn’t reach it as in New Hampshire you can’t cut trees to get an atv through. I went and got my son, who has road motocross, and is crazy on an atv. He hauled that moose out with no trouble and never broke a branch. We spend every summer up on the Northern Pen. Love Newfoundland.

good afternoon andrew. your doing a great job with the channel. keep up the good work. hunting and fishing is a part of our culture and a way of life for many newfoundlanders. as an avid outdoorsman myself i would like to bring some thing to your attention. There is move on the go by the government of NL and by the wilderness and ecological reserves advisory council to take more of our land in newfoundland and turn it into a reserve. If this happens we will lose all of our rights to hunt and fish these areas and there are allot of areas proposed to have this happen. we already have 27 areas closed to hunting in newfoundland as issued in the 2024-2025 hunting and trapping guide. no more hunting and fishing will be permittted, no more access by quad or snowmobile will be permitted if these areas get turned into reserves. these are all traditional areas that we have been hunting and fishing for generations. i think its important that you share this info with the public on your channel and with fellow you tubers like brayden and darrell and the boys. dont be fooled by the rosey picture the gov is trying to paint to protect these areas. we all remember what happened when the bay de nord wilderness and the avalon wilderness areas were created. access was limited by permit only and no motorized vechiles allowed. to see what areas they have on the chopping block visit www.engagenl.ca/en/home-nature-public-engagements-proposed-protected-areas and also visit the wilderness and ecological reserves act of nfld and labrador chaper w-9 and go to section 24 item 3 which states we will lose our rights to hunt and fish these areas. our hunting area is 33 salmonier. they propose to take ripple pond and halls gullies and turn it into a reserve. if that happens we will lose approximately 50 % of our hunting and fishing area that we have been using for many generations. its time the gov start protecting the people of the province and our culture and our heritage and our way of life. concerned outdoorsman Derrick. ps. keep up the good work boys. your doing a excellent job with the channell

I just tried to open the link but it looks like it may be blocked from opening from KZbin. This looks very concerning to all hunters and fishers of Newfoundland. This is scary to see happen if it does take place.
@DerrickKennell2 ай бұрын
@@tombulger yes tom for sure. we have approx 100000 ( one hundred thousand ) newfoundlanders who are registered to apply for a big game licence every year. not to mention all the people in newfoundland who like to take their family and friends trouting and ice fishing also. This will have a negative impact on each and everyone of them from having motorized access to these areas for hunting and fishing which our fathers and forefathers hunted and fished all their lives. tom you can also google WERAC and visit the website there for info. they have 10 proposed areas to turn into reserves. this will affect every big game hunter who applies for a moose licence in these areas

Nice video! there's plenty of field dressing videos on youtube, you shouldn't worry about that. plus i'm sure your regulars would like to see your techniques and or tips! if someone doesn't have the stomach, they don't have to watch! just put a disclaimer at the beginning that's all :)
@AndrewMossOutdoors2 ай бұрын
You're right, but I did have a friend who had a video shadow banned, which means KZbin doesn't recommend it to new viewers because of the feild dressing process. I will probably do it in another video. But for now I wanted this video to be all about the thrill and adventure

@AndrewMossOutdoors2 ай бұрын
@mcinnis79 I've thought of it. But 90% of the time, our moose kills are easily accessible by ATV's. If you watched any previous moose hunting videos on our channel, we use our ATV's for the brunt of the work. This was a rare occasion, but it makes for a good video. Also, we left the hide on because it helps with sliding on the snow and keeping the meat clean. But I am definitely going to invest in a frame pack. They're great
