Best example I've seen yet of how not to hangglide. The terrain is always the enemy and many of these "flyers" seem to think that they are merely going to fly away above it all. And that transitioning stuff is the worst!

Too much brake while entering the thermal but it was not decisive : then he pulled even more the brake because of the feeling of falling backward. The more he's falling, the more he wants to brake ; the more he brakes, the more he's falling. Someone needs a special training to recover from a stall. He is lucky : it could be fatal.

More wins in my opinion, there were no severe crashes or injuries by the looks of it. Not to mention a few of these videos were of student pilots so I noticed a few rookie errors a new student would make, but the worst common mistake I notice on all these videos, object fixation! Landing even Taking off, if you’re focusing on that tree or object in your path that’s exactly where you’re going to head towards...

If you'd only watched people riding bikes in dangerous places/conditions you'd have thought the same with biking. You can't make your mind from a video with a crash compilation that has mostly rough conditions. Not looking for a comment fight, just putting things in perspective.

./facepalm so many facepalms... all I want to know is: country / locations. And why the heck do those people start so close to bushes when they should know what the wind does and that area (not to mention the starting area being far too narrow, not giving the other pilots enough room to start etc. etc... Just glad nothing serious happened here, but the egoism in pilots seems to be skyhigh in this video.

+Mike Kiefer (MadMike) Hi Mike, country is Hungary. Locations are relevant, what you see is the condition of all startpalces in Hungary. We are not allowed to build or make changes on the startplaces, the maximum we can do to cut the grass, but not even to cut a tree. Most of the places are the property of the state and are in National Parks. This is the reason we have to use these narrow startplaces surrounded with bushes and trees. Hungarian pilots are good and well trained, due to these start conditions but of course in these conditions can happen more small accidents (gliders on trees and bushes). Fly safe to you! ;)

if these learners are restricted by the vegetation, perhaps they should spend more time on flat ground learning basic ground handling skills? Some lucky escapes in this vid. And you shouldn't really be in a pod harness if you can't fly yet...

those crashes are the consequences of bad pilots/decisions. A paramotor won't change that!
